Hi, Did anyone else find that the Labadee street vendors (locals) were extremely rude, would take No for an answer? They put a lot of effort into trying to entice you from other booths in order to get you to buy from their booth.

It was a very uncomfortable experience. I have been to the Mexico border towns and the Hattians make the Mexico towns look like armatures.

It was not a fun experience.  Royal Caribbean should "dial them back a bit". That was no fun!!

We were there July 8th. 2022

Some seller were 100% like that but there were also many that were very chill. Me and my wife would only go and buy from stalls that were not rude and pushy. It seemed like the others picked up on it (but not all) and turned the hard sell way down so we would look around and buy.

  2. I think this maybe what you are looking for.

    https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/will-i-have-to-take-a-test-before-i-cruise
"Vaccinated guests must show a negative COVID-19 test result for a PCR or antigen test taken no more than 2 days before boarding day. NOTE: Kids age 11 or younger who have been vaccinated may present proof of full vaccination and follow the testing protocols for vaccinated guests."

I am sort of the same boat as you. I made sure to get the Moderna for my daughter as it is 1 shot + 4 weeks for second shot + 2 weeks to be fully vaccinated.

Moby Dick is right that you don't have to be fully vaccinated to cruise but you have to a non-rapid test 3 days before and a second test the day of at the port. I did that for our last cruise and we had to fly to the port without having the negative result hoping they would send it in time. 30 mins before they closed boarding we got the negative result from the 3 day old test. I can tell you it was a lot of work keeping everyone in good spirits until that result came in and I do not wish that experience on anyone.

    Ah, I misunderstood your question.

    The rules says "Open Booking
program excludes certain promotions and discounted rates, including Interline,
Travel Agent and Travel Agent Friends rates, weekly sales events, net rates or
shareholder benefits and employee rates. "

Thanks, The fine print always gets me.

Yes, NextCruise will be able to book whatever rates are available to the public.

The only rates they cant do are special group rates.

So my MEI travel agent should be able to use it then.
Do you happen to know if a website I can point them to that says royal does that so they can fix the problem?

  5. I booked the Columbus Cove Bungalows on my sailing. We picked the bungalow that was at the far end near the wall as it was near the water. However once we were ready to go in the water it was full of trash. I told the bungalow attendant and he said he would tell someone but no one came by. We wanted to move but by that time there were no open cabana's left. After I got back on the ship I told the shore excursion team and they said they would look into it and get back to me. They never got back to me. Anyone else run into a problem with trash at the bungalows.
