  1. We just came off the Oasis. On lobster night, we asked for the lobster and a steak. They brought out the lobster and said after we finished that, then they would bring out the steak. You can order all the appetizers you want. They will come out a little more quickly, but not necessarily at the same time.
  2. This is my 3rd RC cruise I have been on. And the new MDR menu leaves a lot to be desired. My first MDR night, I had a fish filet. When the dish came, it had two small 1x4 inch pieces of fish. Hardly any presentation accompanied it. I went again on Caribbean night. That night when our food arrived, we just got up and left. The roasted chicken looked as though it had black soot all over it. And then we went again on lobster night. You get about a 4-oz tail that will give you 3-4 bites. The service was ok, but nothing special. With the current menu, I would not want to eat at the MDR again. Instead we went to the Coastal Kitchen or the Windjammer Cafe for our dinners.
  3. I would do it, but then if I did, there would be several complaints from people looking down from the upper decks of a beached whale on the balcony!!
  4. That was it. Thank you.
  5. I am looking for the link so that I can print out a clean version. This one did not print very well. And. . . .I also want to post the link for others to see. Especially first time cruisers.
  6. Thank you all for your answers. But, I saw an actual list recently that had each restaurant listed and next to it were a couple of columns listing the type of food, where it was located, and if there was an extra charge, but she didn't remember how she had found it. That is the list I am trying to find.
  7. Thank you Matt. Why are you not on the press tour in Australia with Don, Emma, and Tony? Looks like they are having some rough seas.
  8. I am trying to find the list of all restaurants throughout Oasis of the Seas. The list I am looking for has the name, type of food served, and if it is free or extra cost.
  9. On my last two cruises, I did only that which came with the cruise fare. No extras such as restaurants, or excursions. And my girl and I had a very good time without any of that. In the ports, we shopped and sought out restaurants for lunch. No need for all the extras.
  10. We will be on Oasis of the Seas for a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise starting January 29th. And we are looking for recommendations of interesting things to see, or shore excursions to take that don't involve a lot of walking. Any ideas will be appreciated.
  11. On the Oasis of the Seas, what is served with the High Tea Time? Was it worth the $$ and would you do it again?
  12. I am thinking of taking the monkey/sloth excursion. Are the lines very long? If you have taken that excursion, would you do it again? How did you set up the excursion? Through RC, or on shore?
  13. On the Oasis of the Seas, I don't really want to purchase the refreshment package since I don't really drink much soda. So are there other free options available such as lemonade or fruit punch available?
  14. I have a T-mobile 5G broadband modem (M200) and will be sailing on a western Caribbean cruise at the end of January. Will my broadband modem work at any of the cruise ports the ship will be visiting. such as Cozumel or Roatan?
  15. When I go into the Royal Up program, it lets me put in my last name and reservaiton number. Then it just give me a message "Please wait, we are checking for availability." and then just sits there with the icon just going around in circles. I have tried this with firefox, edge, safari, and chrome. But they all do the same thing. My cruise is not until Jan 25, so could it be that I am just too early?
  16. How do I find out what level I am and how many points I have with Club Royale?
  17. I am confused by the covid testing protocols. If I am going on a 7 night cruise, at present time, do I need to have a pre-cruise covid test? And does it have to be proctored? And how about if it is only a 5 night cruise?
  18. We will be sailing to Cozumel soon. Are there any shore excursions that you would recommend to us? Even ones that may not be through RCL.
  19. Do you put your info, such as photo, passport, ect...in the app after you do the check in? Or, do you have to put all of your information in before the check in date? And if so, how would I put it in the app?
  20. I purchased the soda package and found that other than getting a few bottles of water, it was not worth it. Ice tea, lemonade, and fruit juices are free. Also, I bought some packages of water flavorings from Walmart ($1.60) that were 10 to a pack and used them most of the time. There are places on the ship you can refill your water bottles and get ice, so that would not be a problem.
  21. I am curious to what others have to say. Personally, I think they are going to have to lower their ticket prices if they want to keep the ship full. I just came off a cruise, but if I would have had to pay today's price, I would not have been able to afford it. I have been watching this stock for some time. Just about a month ago, it was at about $84. Today it is at $49.73, But one has to remember that Carnival is only at $11.76 today.
  22. I didn't check out the tee shirts at Coco Kay. But, in Nassau, when you come off the ship, there are many vendors there selling all sorts of things. Just be prepared for the mob scenes at the port.
  23. I use the sugar free artificial flavors such as cherry, grape ect., that I can buy from Walmart for $1.60 for 10 packs. And best of all, I only use a half of a single pack because otherwise it is too strong for me. They have many flavors. Way cheaper than a soda package.
  24. Does the day of the cruise count as the 2 days before the cruise? If my cruise is on Monday, will it count if I get tested on Saturday, or do I have to wait until Sunday for the test?
  25. Up until today, my page showed that I had a $100 onboard credit. And today it shows not only the onboard credit, but it also now says there is a $100 per-cruise credit. So does this mean I have $100 on board AND $100 pre-cruise, or does it mean that I only have $100 and I must use it pre-cruise? I thought I would check this out but when I went to book the pre-cruise beverage package, at checkout it took me to the onboard credit and not the pre-cruise credit. Is there something I should be doing to use the pre-cruise instead of the onboard credit?
