All they want is a "VALID TEST" negative or positive. Further the fine " MAY BE " subjected to a fine. I know it looks misconstrued, but thats my experience and I spoke to 2 immigration officers prior to crossing. A public health officer came out to greet me and gave me switch health test kits to take home and report a proctored test. What you post...I read, but its not followed by the letter. I think its for people who are trying to scam the system and cross illegally on purpose. We reported in full honesty and they appreciate that. Nobody gave us a stern warning, and told us we could be fined. They were very nice and cordial. That site's wording needs to be changed.... but I think it's there as a deterrent.

prior to entering USA (by car) , I pulled over and had a chat with a supervisor. Nobody is getting fined UNLESS they did not get tested. And people have been fined for that. I did a follow up phone call after the results to ensure the same answer. Yes, I believe the fine of re-entry is simply there as a deterrent....that is possible.

Yes that's what it reads and I read it. I phoned the border agent just to be sure in advance. I cannot find anywhere stating refusal into Canada with a positive test for vaccinated Canadians. Regardless, the site is old or needs updating....they let me in.

To repeat. As long as everybody gets tested, ( i did it at Wallgreens appt online on the ship) you will not be subjected to any fine. The fine is for people who refuse to get tested. Now if one of your party tests positive.... unfortunately , the rest of the group will have to quarantine for 14 days and the positive person only 10. why? I dont know. Its federal. I would send all the negative people home and have someone come back and get the positive subject after a few days and test again. There is no need for everybody to quarantine for 14 days... crazy. You may have read an old post , but the fine is only for people who dont get tested at all.

The border agent CANNOT refuse you entry . PERIOD. You will be fined $5,000.00 if you did not get an antigen test. WE did. Even though positive, they must let you in. You simply drive home and quarantine. Just like you do anywhere in the province, with the exception of the length of time stipulated by the federal government and provincial government guidelines. Immigration cannot refuse you entry into Canada. Just show your tests. Half the guys dont even look at them. You quarantine at your home in Canada.,not USA. ...although you can, but it would be a costly stay at a hotel. If only one of your party tests positive then all the rest of your group who tested negative must quarantine for 14 days. Crazy. Thats Trudeau. Federal. Provincial is only 5 days. Go figure that.

They are ALL deep cleaned at turn around day regardless and fogged as I recall the smell entering my room very early first day of cruise. Further I did not know until almost the next day if I had omicron. Further to that if there is any trace of the virus on cotton or any surface it dies within 2 hours. yes, quarantine is in Toronto. its a federal mandate, which is different from the provincial one. ( 5 days?) I feel fine. Cant wait for the next cruise.

I tested positive off the ship. Until then, no symptoms. Only one reported case on the whole ship. I see no protocol or purpose to report anything at this point. I feel fine.

Just came off a 2 week B2B on Anthem out of Bayonne . First week, 2800 passengers, second week 2500. Total Covid cases ONE. In the second week, protocols were much more lax or loose.No more masks! Life guards could finally take off their masks. Hot tubs were filled to capacity ( I counted 16 in one). And hardly any restrictions in the main pool. We Will Rock You remains to be the best show on the ship. Cant say anything great about the rest. Casino was packed at night. Port Canaveral... don't waste your money at this port on any excursions, there is simply not enough time . Cayo Coco is good for a few hours and back to the ship for quiet time by the pool. Nassau .....took the number 10 bus for $1.25 to Baha Mar resort and Casino. What an amazing place. Lots of Hong Kong dollars went into the development of this place. It is stunning, and worth a visit. Coastal Kitchen on this ship was not the calibre of quality that I experienced on Oasis class ships,,,, went 4 times in 2 weeks. MDR was good. WindJammer, much improved I found. Disembarked and paid $350 us for parking (ouch) and drove to Wallgreens in Niagara Falls where I booked a free antigen test . Went in at 4:pm and got results by 6:00pm I tested positive! My wife negative. So The Canadian government has me under 10 day quarantine and my wife 14 days. They let us go home to Toronto to quarantine.

Currently on Anthem , masks are optional . some kids have them on , some don’t . At the discretion of their parents I suppose .

Correction ! Only on oasis class! Not Quantum! I’m on Anthem now . Ck is great ! Spoke with head chef Linton , and he claims it’s the best dining on the whole ship .

I’m sailing on anthem right now and used FaceTime a few times today . No problems !

If you're in the pre paid tip plan, I think you're covered. I dont see anybody tipping in the pool bar. And I think they have servers, but I see servers all over the Island anyway
