I think if something doesn’t happen soon they May pull a ship out of Australia.

I just put the cruise with confidence Australia price match to the test. I have a NZ cruise on Ovation next February and with the current wow sale it’s a couple of hundred bucks cheaper with extra $350 OBC. I emailed my agent and they said Royal Caribbean matched the current price ,no questions asked.

There supposed to be a meeting tomorrow with the Fed about opening the boarders for non residents and cruise . I think the carnival ships where deployed to America until October, that’s when our season really starts. If they extend the cruise ban this week RCG will have to make some serious decisions.They can’t afford to have ships empty for another 6 months for our 22-23 season.

Here’s a interesting article by a lawyer that specialises in the Australian Cruise industry. I’m waiting for a response from RCCLAPAC Singapore. You are right about the testing, about $350 worth. From what I can work out a test at sydney airport, then one on arrival in Singapore. If you stay anymore than a night before the cruise you have to get another. Royal Caribbean do them at the convention centre and transfer you. Then one before the flight coming home and then I believe a RAT on arrival at Sydney. We are looking at a trip around the middle of the year. L.A. is a bit to far for some of my friends but 8 hours to Singapore they should be able to do.

I think there’s a problem with the tests as some can’t detect it. There goes The Australian season.

Anything is possible with this hypochondriac government we have. But a few nights and a cruise in Singapore during our winter is something to look forward to.

I think I saw some Spectrum cruises on the Singapore website. I might try to email that Angie Stephen on Monday and see I get a response.

Singapore is a close and safe destination for Australians especially in our winter months.It’s a good long term market for Royal Caribbean Australia. I think Royal should do stay and cruise packages,all inclusive. Fly ,transfers,Hotel and a cruise. Apparently Singapore has just dropped the restrictions on foreign passport holders to cruise. And personally I can’t see the Australia 2022-2023 season happening.

I was a bit hesitant about posting this but I can’t see a copyright or and sensitive legal content. I don’t think Royal Caribbean should mind as it is in the interest of their customers. I was suggesting some packages for Australians to travel to Singapore.

At this point in time we can’t cruise out of Singapore as it’s Singapore passport holders only. And as you said it wouldn’t be much of a holiday because of all the tests not to mention the expense. What did you have to do to get into the U.S. ? From what I can work out it’s a test before the flight in Sydney and that’s it.

Do you think Gavin Smith would be back at work? I want to suggest that Royal offer all inclusive packages to Singapore for Ozzie’s. I can’t see anything happening this year with the lame ducks running the place. And with spectrum possibly doing port calls , I think it would be a good relief for us poor Australians. All inclusive,air,a few nights before the cruise,transfers and possibly pre arranged tests.

Wasn’t Quantum supposed to be going to Alaska about then. There was speculation who was going to replace it.
