  1. When I was on the Explorer 2 years ago, they did not. There was a large whirlpool in the spa/gym area, along with a sauna and steam room. All of which was free. Not sure if things have changed though. Mel
  2. We will be in 1828 (deck 12). We figured we would try something new. They look very private. We've never been that far forward, but I'll try anything once!
  3. Has anyone stayed in the new balconies on deck 12 on the refurbished voyager class ships? They are listed as an E3, and I think we got a steal! I've found pictures of the new panorama rooms, but not the balconies. Just wondering if anyone has any insight? We are very excited! It seems very private! Mel
  4. Not sure if you are flying out of Fort Lauderdale or Miami, so can't comment on transfer time, however I always carry my own luggage off and think you would be off in plenty of time. I've booked later flights and always regretted waiting around. Last Oct. we were off the freedom in port canaveral by 0700. Yes, it's an early morning, with a little stress, but I enjoy having the added time at home to unpack before restarting my work week.
  5. For my upcoming cruise on the Anthem this October, Devinely Decadence has been replaced with the "Solarium Bistro" in my cruise planner. I'm probably considered the opposite of a vegetarian and do not see a lot that appeals to me on the new menu. It is not listed as complimentary, but has $0 listed for the price, so who knows? I'll probably be skipping this one :-( Mel :-)
  6. I've done Bermuda and Eastern Caribbean in October. Minor issues we had were some rain in Bermuda (1/2 a day x2) as well as some strong rip currents due to off shore storms (life guards at horseshoe bay were great), and the water in St. Thomas and St. Maarten was pretty cloudy due to recent storms. All minor, none of which ruined anything for us. We love going that time of year.. Definitely have found some great deals (we usually book Jan/February). Less kids are also a plus! I've done one in December that made the holiday season go by too fast for my liking and a Mediterranean in May proved to be rather hot for exploring inland cities (Florence and Rome), yet very windy (pools/decks closed on the ship) and very choppy conditions making it hard to enjoy to the ship.
  7. Hi Everyone! This October my best friend and I will be taking the Anthem on her first TA! A few questions: - This is our first TA, we usually love sea days, but it is a little daunting to be on the boat for 8 straight days, any suggestions? Things to pack or do? Are there usually different activities on A TA than a traditional cruise? - I'm very excited to try out ifly and see the anthem's shows. At this point we are less than six months away of departure (not that I'm counting or anything). When can you usually make reservations for these actives? I was hoping to plan these for tackling dynamic dining. Thanks for the advice! Will anyone be joining us?
