mikeyg1479 got a reaction from 4ensic in Time to dump Cats?
Can confirm the version of Cats they show now is an abridged 1hr30 min cut with no intermissions.  Was the second time I saw a production of it, and yeah, even as a lover of broadway in general, its drags, (even in a shorter cut).
It just has very little plot (the cats gather to pick a cat to go to kitty heaven, so it can be reborn into a new life) and then the whole length of the show is just vignettes of different "cats" basically introducing themselves (each gets a song/performance).  One gets picked in the end, and thats pretty much it.
I'm sure in the 80s it was considered lavish and the costumes out of this world and the choreography spellbinding, but in 2022 it just hasn't aged well.  Maybe an extreme cat person might find some chuckles in the depictions of different kitty personalities but as for entertainment for general cruise-goers- nah.    Songs aren't really particular good or memorable, other than, um,  Memory.
Still, I give no fault to the production itself.  The performers themselves all do a excellent job, and everything is staged well and looks great.  It's just that Cats can't help but being Cat's.

mikeyg1479 got a reaction from WAAAYTOOO in UDP - Specialty Dining
No, UDP will cover Johnny Rockets Food, but not the milkshakes.  They would fall under the beverage package.

mikeyg1479 got a reaction from WAAAYTOOO in Unlimited Dining? What is not included in Unlimited?
Most posts in this thread cover the whats covered/not covered stuff.
However,  I would just also additionally advise to people to advertise loud and proud to servers/cashiers that you have UDP.  I had assumed in our world of computers and such, it would automatically compute that our account has UDP and places wouldn't charge you, but I had two instances where I was incorrectly charged the cover fee for meals- I was charged $60+ for my family of four for dinner at Johnny Rockets (plus another $20 for milkshakes, as I didn't have beverage plan, I EXPECTED to pay for that, but not the food).  We even brought this up to the waiter at Johnny Rockets about the charge for food when they handed me the slip to sign, who insisted no coverage under UDP, and said to "take it up with Guest Relations" if we wanted to dispute.  Also, Portside BBQ charged me for a lunch.
Upon visiting Guest Relations, both Johnny Rockets and Portside BBQ were quickly credited back to our account and we were assured both are absolutely covered under UDP (which everything I read and researched prior to the trip told me they were.) But yeah, anytime you hand over your room card for payment, or check in for reservation- tell them you have UDP- because they do mess up on this, and its annoying to have to visit Guest Relations to correct this stuff.

mikeyg1479 got a reaction from ehw51 in Viability of Anthem cruise late November 2020
So after reading an article on this website talking about possibilities of various cruises (including Anthem) possibly starting to sail in November, I decided to cancel now before having to pay the balance and taking the credit for my down payment, as I have every intention of cruising with them in 2021 (most likely one of the seen night November Anthem cruises a year later, I wish it was 8 nights like they were this year, but alas it wasn't meant to be), when hopefully things are a little more calm with the virus.  Just have to wait (I guess up to 30 days) for the credit "certificate" to arrive.
