Yeah, I agree Matt. It cost me $900s to fly to there when we took our Freedom cruise. Now if there was a cruise deal in Seattle. I'd be there

What is your favorite excursion you ever took?
hallyluhopper replied to Matt's topic in Shore Excursions
Went on my first Zipline tour in Mexico in 2009 (Vision of the Seas), and loved it. This time, I liked the Kayak, Hike, and Snorkle tour in St. Thomas (Freedom of the Seas). The guides were fabulous. -
Yes, we will be sailing in and out of Seattle. I live about 2 hours from Seattle and 2 hours from Vancouver, so I can go either way. We wouldn't have to deal with the border if we go out of Seattle. I have done the Alaska cruise twice (once on Holland America and once on Princess). I am looking forward to another Royal Caribbean ship.

We just got back from the Eastern Caribbean cruise (Freedom of the Seas) on Sept. 1st. We had a really good time. The passengers and crew were very friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. We had an ocean view room on the 3rd flood, which had a huge window (the biggest window). Fantastic!!

We opt for late seating also. This time (we just got home yesterday) our table-mates ordered two starters and sometimes two entrees. We had the best waiter, and he didn't mind accommodating us at all.

We fly into Orlando 6:14am, and just found out transfer don't start until 10:30am. Going to be a long morning

My hubby, who is a retired aircraft mechanic for the Navy, keeps reminding me its hurricane season. He does this not to scare me though. He wants to feel the boat rock and see the waves crash. I told him ok, but no hurricane when we're in port. I want to enjoy my excursions without worrying about being blown away. :-)

Thank you DarkCabbie and your wife. The secret to our success is going on another cruise (hubby is retired Navy). ;-)

I am leaving on Sunday. Woohoo!

Which famous celebrity have you seen on board
hallyluhopper replied to DAVE(Darkcabbie)'s topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I can honestly say I have seen celebrities on a previous cruise. It was a chartered cruise on the Holland America. We got to see Jimmy Dean, and he sang his famous song "Big Ben." He looks the same as he did on his commercials except he was old.interestingly enough his wife wasn't old, she was quite young. -

When do you arrive before your cruise?

I don't want to spend anymore than I have to, so as long as I'm there on time, I'm good -

Do you use a travel agent or book directly through RCL?
hallyluhopper replied to Julie's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I have booked my cruises through Travel websites and Royal Caribbean. I look for good deals. The deals that come with onboard credits. I have never booked a vacation with a TA, Can you get better deals, or it is just less hassle? -
Hi again, I'm Joy. My husband and I live in Washington. Cruising is one of my favorite vacations. In August I will be going on my 4th cruise, and my husbands 3rd. So far, i have been to Alaska twice, Mexico one and in August we will take a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. We enjoy meeting new people and seeing new places.
