  1. I’m in the same boat! We are scheduled to cruise May 13th from Copenhagen. I am waiting for it to be cancelled so I can get the refund. ?
  2. My family and I are booked on a cruise departing Copenhagen in May 13th. The travel agent my family booked through informed them today that the cruise was cancelled. I booked directly through Royal and haven’t received any info about a cancellation, and the cruise is still available to book online. I don’t know what to think!
  3. I am experiencing exactly the same thing! I’ll be curious if you get an update.
  4. I’m jumping on with a related question! My cruise on Jewel docks on a Saturday morning and is used as a hotel until Sunday when the cruise ends. I was told on the phone that I can leave the ship any time after we dock on Saturday; I asked because my flight home on Sunday is at 8am. Can anyone confirm that this has been their experience? I am a first time cruiser so I am not totally sure how the logistics work.
  5. What is to stop someone from booking GTY for two people and having an intentional no show for the 2nd person?
  6. Thank you @twangster and @WAAAYTOOO !! I just rebooked my cruise, added a guest, upgraded my room, and will end up saving $2600- some in FCC and some in cash refund. Hope my friend can make it!
  7. I am curious if anyone has booked a guaranteed room for two people and experienced a "no-show" for one guest. I am seeing a cruise listing the GTY rate for two people as significantly lower than the single occupancy rate. If someone books the two-person GTY room, and one person can't make it on the day of, is the now-solo cruiser on the hook for the difference between the GTY rate and single occupancy rate? I understand there would not be a refund for the no show person, except taxes etc. Thanks for sharing your experience!
  8. I have a May 13th cruise that I paid $5400 for fare, taxes, and gratuities for an interior room. I am a single cruiser. Now, it looks like one can purchase a "We choose your room" room at much lower rates. For example, I could now book a balcony room on the same cruise for about $3000. With the "Cruise with Confidence" it looks like I could get a FCC for my original booking, but would I be able to apply that FCC to re-booking the same cruise? The difference in prices is almost another whole vacation!
