  1. Hello, everyone! My wife, two children (9 and 5) and I will be visiting Nassau from 7AM to 4PM on Enchantment of the Seas in September 2020. We will have just been at Coco Cay the day before. What is a good recommendation? I see some people like and dislike the Blue Lagoon (Matt on this site like the VIP section, but I have heard other people say how it takes forever to get there and back...eating into the fun time of the excursion), but I wonder if the hours we are in port make that amount to less time there than I would want for paying for the excursion. Also, there is a glass bottom boat tour. Most of the excursions have age limits not allowing the kids and wanted someone's take. I am not a risk seeker and do not really like the idea of walking around Nassau on our own. Any tips, advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated. PS - We are all fully mobile and are just in it for the fun. Thanks! J
  2. As a curious question, how will you know what is covered by your drink plan? I saw at the bottom of the PDF form that it listed $12 as the limit on some sailings. How can I find that out for my sailing? If I email, I am guessing I will get a bot answer of some kind. I am hoping it covers up to $13 cocktails (yes, I know it is only $1 + gratuity more per drink.....but a lot is being paid for the package already).... Thanks! J PS - Looking forward to celebrating sailaway and 10 years of marriage with a drink in one hand and my wife's in the other.
  3. I know this may make me sounds like a lush....but my understanding is that you do not get your Sea Pass until your room is ready on Enchantment of the Seas (waiting right outside of your door). If we board in the morning before the room is ready, can we still use our drink package? Thanks! J
  4. Thank you both! This is our belated anniversary trip (with two kids along for the ride) now scheduled for late September 2020. It was meant to be last month, but COVID-19 happens....
  5. Hi, everyone! I had a question I hope someone can answer. If both my wife and I have the deluxe beverage package, can I go to the bar and get two drinks at the same time at the bar so she does not have to go up as well? Thanks! J
  6. I just got $49.99 / per person / per day on the DBP on a September sailing on Enchantment of the Seas. I was pretty happy with that price for it. Glad to see the old normal of a cruise planner sale in force.....
  7. RCCL is thinking of having a big sale to have money from new deposits to pay out for old ones to buy some time.....
  8. Thank you! Would you recommend paying for a specialty for embarkation lunch? I have heard that the Windjammer is kind of nuts on day one.....Like we will not get enough food over a cruise....LOL.....We just want to be chill.... Thanks! J
  9. Hi, all! I was wondering if anyone knew how the lunch worked for Chops on Embarkation day? I know the Key lunch menu is served in the MDR, but the Cruise Planner shows a more robust menu for Chops lunch. I have heard it go both ways that Chops serves the Key menu on embarkation day (not on others) and that it does serve the menu listed on the Cruise Planner. Can someone who has cruised recently let me know? If it helps, this is for Enchantment of the Seas in September 2020. Thanks in advance for all of your help as always!
  10. That is very good information! I will try emailing RC and see if I can get a straight answer and not a canned bot answer.....
  11. I had to go from EOS in March (great deals on the Blue Lagoon and $18.99/pp/per day on The Key)......Now, the prices for the EOS 9/25/2020 sailing has about a 25% higher price on the Blue Lagoon and $26.99/pp/per day on The Key.......I know The Key is not popular with some, but it was a good deal in my mind as I needed Internet as well......I am watching and hoping for some deals when sailing (hopefully) resumes soon.... BTW, I would have loved a drink package (my wife and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary a wee late now); but we will be buying a drink at a time at these prices (especially with having a couple of non-CoCo Cay port days). PS - Thanks everyone for sharing all the information on here! It is so helpful!
  12. Thank you both! My boy is a hyper ADHD boy. He just turned five and seems like Bam Bam from the old Flintstones cartoons. He can lift a sofa up and do all kinds of things. I was thinking of maybe using a chain with a small lock. We all love a balcony, but we want to make sure nothing happens. I am open to any ideas. Of course, we plan on supervising him; but he sometimes has evening adventures (when he is naturally in stealth mode). Thanks! J
  13. Hi, all! I was wondering if someone had a picture of the balcony handle mechanism or new a good way to lock down the balcony door on the Enchantment of the Seas ship? I am traveling with a boy who will love it, but I worry. Thanks!
  14. LOL. I was doing March on the EOS, and it was scrubbed. Now, I am doing Key West, Nassau, and Coco Cay in late September.........Guess it will be an adventure!
  15. I agree about it being so carby. My daughter is a Type 1 Diabetic, and the plain yogurt and some fruit sound like the best food for her......We will probably use it for coffee to start our day mostly and eat in the dining room for breakfast most days.....
  16. A big question is who is in your party? I will never again do late dining with little kids (ended up snacking by the pool and were never hungry). It was a different cruise line, but the same philosophy counts..... J
  17. Thank you! I have been looking at the cruise compasses, but they have been for shorter cruises on that ship. Do you by chance know of anything fun to do as spouses in the afternoon or late morning? What did you both like? We will use the kids zone some during those times and were thinking of trivia but wanted to see what people who had been there/done that think. Thanks! J
  18. I got upgraded from a guaranteed interior stateroom to an oceanview window cabin after final payment date for no difference in price by calling a couple of different times. The first person told me that it was not possible to upgrade because the upgraded room type I wanted cost the same or less now. The second person upgraded me for no additional charge (I was shocked and very happy....I was expecting to have to pay at least something). Now, this process took about an hour on the phone between both calls but was worth it in the end for me.
  19. I must be a rebel, because I am packing plastic straws.....The paper ones stink for my kids and always fall apart.
  20. Hello, everyone! I am leaving Galveston, TX, on the Enchantment of the Seas going to Key West, Coco Cay, and Nassau on 3/30/2020. I know this is not a new ship with all the bells and whistles; but, for people who have been on it, what are your favorite aspects? I just do not want to miss something cool. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks! J
  21. I have never sailed Royal Caribbean before and got the Key for a March 30, 2020, sailing on The Enchantment of the Seas out of Galveston, TX. It was roughly $200 more than just the internet (we need it for medical reasons). The nice meals coming and going plus some timesavers/service to make things easier were appealing to me. I know you can work around this and do not need it, but we are traveling with our two children (one is a Type 1 diabetic and one has severe ADHD) for our 10th anniversary. I wanted the easy button and viewed the upcharge as worth it in relation to most excursions.
