  1. That's exactly what I was looking for! I doubt they will have that for our cruise coming up in Jan, 2020. It's good to know they've done something similar to it though.
  2. I was looking for a hotel closest to the port of miami terminal A, to be closer to the ship when I fly in the day before. Then it struck me and I had a crazy idea of Royal Caribbean opening a hotel in all major ports for their guest in case they fly in early or have time to kill after disembarkation. I don't know if it's actually a thing but I just thought it would be a great idea. Hotel could be discounted to guest sailing soon or/and provide early check-in for guest and luggage to avoid lines at embarkation. -Pictures can be taken -Sea Pass cards issued -Luggage check in ahead of time -Discounts for guest sailing soon or in general to RC members -Peace of mind of being near the ship on embarkation day. -A place to take advantage of amenities if you're a RC member if you're flight isn't for a couple of hours or days Or maybe is this already in the works? What are your thoughts or improvements upon this idea?
  3. It's true!!! 80% or so of the people I know has never left their state!
  4. I've never cruise before either my very first one is on Jan, 2020 but I've never had any negative thoughts crossed my mind prior to booking. I always day dreamed about it years ago in my office. haha Now I finally have some time to take a vacation and a leap into adventure & fun!
  5. Thanks for the info! I'm going through my first TA ever actually discovered on this very blog here called MEI Travels. Love them so far.
  6. That was really good haha! At least if the ship goes you can somewhat swim compared to plane going down good luck!
  7. I could think of thousands of things that is far worse than being addicted to cruising haha
  8. I'll be shoving photos and videos full of adventure and smiles in their faces Perhaps a powerpoint presentation or chromecasting my fun on the TV. Thanks but I still have 130+ days left to go ?
  9. Hell no! Definitely don't need people like that constantly droning about sickness, death, and incidents from the news media. They don't know what they're missing out on! "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink"
  10. Friend states in his defense he took 2 cruises with Carnival for a weekend mexico sail. My relatives have never sailed so far so it makes sense where they're coming with all this nonsense. Media sure demonizes the cruise industry for the small % of things that do occur and blast it in the spotlight for years if not decades.
  11. I just told some close friends and relatives of mine about my excitement of going on my first cruise ever in Jan, 2020 on Symphony of the Seas. Their response was rather unexpected to what I was use to hearing or hoped for, to be honest disappointed in their lack of perspective/paranoia Key points from their response was: "Good luck getting sick from either the people, food, or motion of the seas" "Lots of ship stranded in the middle of the ocean recently" "be careful I heard people go missing without a trace" "risk of being a victim of a crime or being sick is extremely high nowadays" "stuck in a storm with 75mph+ winds, ordered to stay in cabin" Of course my rebuttal was saying these are less that slim odds if you apply common sense and keep hygienic standards. If you let paranoia rule your thoughts of any vacation regardless of land or sea, you'll never really enjoy life. Then I reminded them of the higher odds of driving a car everyday. Any thoughts or opinions on people who see things like this and how not to let them bog down you're impending vacations?
  12. Meet up is on a cruise to help you with your cruise addiction. haha
  13. I haven't been on my first cruise yet since its in Jan, 2020 and i'm already addicted! I'll be on the Symphony of the Seas Jan, 2020 7 days! I've been on this blog and youtubing cruise NON STOP since I booked it.
  14. Must be nice to sail that many times in a given year! I think I can fit in 2 per year if I'm lucky, fingers crossed I begin my addiction early haha!
  15. Drink package has been holding steady at $61usd for symphony of the seas 7 day jan, 2020. It would be a dream if I can grab it for they price you did haha. Black Friday is definitely what im looking forward to and maybe cyber monday if that exist for RC? Good thing if black friday flops I still have thanksgiving, christmas, and new years for me that is.
  16. thanks cdixon22!! I noticed the thread is for "harmony" does this same drink list apply to symphony of the seas?
  17. I was already jealous from the very beginning of this post. You're already in Florida !!! I'm glad I don't live in florida or I would have a serious problem cruising back to back non stop! I'm in California and it cost about $500-$600 round trip to get there. Paying for my lady as well I'm always looking at about $1,000+ ?
