@Rui you referenced what about DCL a pp did not like and I was wondering about your experience with them.  Have you done a number of cruises with the and any concierge?

Well I've been on DCL for few times, stayed at concierge room all the times, and they were totally awesome.

Actually, I didn't know about RC except for their name "Royal Caribbean" (until these days) therefore due to Disney's popularity here in Japan (where I live), and unawareness of RC in Japan, I didn't come up to my mind to book a RC cruise.
After few nice and awesome cruises at DCL, we started looking for "another options" because we were kind of bored to go with DCL all the times and didn't like Disney's limited itineraries (b/c Disney has few ships) and now just "trying out" Royal Caribbean cruises.

After googling some reviews and thoroughly read the "I Dream of Genie" post, the perks SC has to offer made me book SC on Symphony right away!

So the bottom line, SC perks esp like Genie, Priority embarkation and a numbers of restaurant , and the size of ship of Symphony attracted us and made me book RC!

Well, that does not mean I am not worried about RC at all. DCL is more expensive & family-entertainment-oriented than RC (I believe) and this expensive price certainly guarantees higher "guests' quality" but this is just my pre-cruise opinion so please just forgive me to say this.

I used to say this too until my kids turned about 9-10 and then got bored with the "Disney" type shows.  Now, a few years later, I would have to say, DCL has the edge on shows if you have young ones but Royal has the edge with kids 10+.  Unless you are a Disney fanatic...but that is a whole other discussion for another place and one I don't care to get into ?

I am totally agree on this, even I am a Disney fanatic..... I have an annual pass for Disney and I work for Disney......

If you're on the Facebook you can join the Star Class group and make lots of SC friends there:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/368527716898873/

I sailed Disney once and never cared to cruise again.  Fast forward over a dozen years and we cruised RC last fall and I have already booked 2 more cruises with RC. And we were just in a guarantee balcony cabin.  Hope you have an equally great experience

What happened to you at DCL lol

  3. Hi there!

I'm soooo excited that we have just booked Royal Loft Suite on Symphony. I did't expect that's still available

This is our first time on RC even we enjoyed Disney Cruise before, we hope RC provides us unique and unforgettable experience as well!

For those who sailed on RC (or maybe SC), yeah, it's you, please advise me what to do and we can be friends!
