  1. Honestly I don't now the answer to this but isn't the bottled water plan extremely expensive? How does that work, you just walk anywhere and get bottled water from any bar or restaurant?
  2. Thank you very much, it's been a wild ride with ups and downs. This will be my first cruise that I'm not fat for and it's gonna be nice. Not being out of breath and feeling like crap. Now I won't mind getting dressed up for formal night and I will now. Turns out I like dressing nice now that I'm not a fatso. ? The really funny thing is what you would think would be the opposite. I would eat less on a cruise, especially in the buffet because I thought people would be looking at the fat guy at the buffet. The truth is no one was doing that but that's what was in my head. This cruise I'm eating healthy right up to the day of the cruise and then for 5 days I do not think about what I'm eating. I'm gonna eat and have fun and the day I step off the ship, right back to my healthy eating. Thank you again.
  3. Thanks guys, I have confidence now. I just have to find water fountains where I can. Do they really discourage reusable water bottles? People use the same soda cup all cruise so that makes not a lot of sense. I'm also gonna take the stairs most of the cruise if not the whole cruise just to keep my steps up and burn extra calories. Thanks again guys for all the answers.
  4. In general how is the "tap" water or ship water? I have lost 72 pounds since last July, 1 year, with just 10 more to go to my goal. I don't drink any soda of any kind any more. Its really water 99.9 % of the time now. I would normally get the soda package on our cruises but no need for that now so I think I'm just gonna bring my reusable water on our cruise on Anthem this September. So how is the ship water taste wise, and where are water fountains to fill up at? Are there a lot of them all over the ship, is it a pain to find water fountains? Thanks for any info.
  5. Yeah I cancelled the bid. I like the location of the cabin I chose, I chose it for a reason. If I had the extra cash I would move up to a Junior suite, I really like those rooms but I hate that you don't get the extra points on a bid though.
  6. I actually cancelled the bid last night until I hear from MEI travel to see their advice. I have has our cabin picked out since day one and I like the location AFT by the glass elevators. So that's where I am right now.
  7. Boy people on Cruise critic are scaring the hell out of me. They are saying this is the worst move ever and if I win I'm gonna hate or could end up hating this move. I was thinking 200 bucks chance on a bigger room. Are they just being A-holes or is this a bad deal? I bid 100 per person, like you said 200 bucks.
  8. Oh wow I didn't know that. Makes this even more of a good bet. I'm gonna give this a shot for 200 bucks what the heck. I'm gonna give it a try and put my bid in after work.
  9. Yeah sorry, I should have been a little more detailed. It's not on the AFT of the ship as in the very back, it's just in the aft of the ship as in the part of the ship. I'm only gonna bid if I do 100 person so it's a 300 dollar gamble. I'm sure I won't win with a bid like that but worth a try maybe?
  10. Wow I have been hearing about this but didn't know how it worked or if I'd even been offered this. We are in a regular balcony on deck 11 AFT. The offer is for 3 different categories but the only one I'm thinking about is a spacious ocean view balcony. The starting or lowest bid 100 per person and that all I would bid. Anyone else go through this process? Is that a much better cabin than we have now because the pics look really nice? No chance I win that with the lowest bid right? I think it's worth a shot but wanted to see what you guys say first. Thanks for any advice.
  11. Yeah did they change that recently because a few months ago I was going to get "the key" and I could have sworn it added everyone on its own and on cruise critic they told me just to check one name because that just tells them who to bill or to put on the billing? Thanks for the quick reply.
  12. I'll try an explain, bear with me. On my cruise its 29.99 person, and that's per day correct? We are going on a 5 night cruise to Bermuda on Anthem so that should come out to 449.85 correct? Now when I add it to my cart it asks what I think is who this will be charged to, so it has my name, my wifes name and our 6 year old son. I then check my name and add to cart and it came out to 149.95. What am I missing? Am I supposed to check all our names? I am confused so thanks in advance for any help.
  13. I agree with this, plus I personally wouldn't trust off site parking, but that's just me.
  14. From what I understand RCI doesn't enforce arrival times or boarding times. You can show up any time you like, at least that's what I was told. You should be just fine like we will be just fine doing the same thing. I want on that ship early this time.
  15. Sept. 21? Can't wait, we are all looking forward to Anthem. Then Oasis in May. We are gonna shoot for 10:00-10:15 and see what happens. If we gotta wait a bit, we'll wait.
  16. Awesome, thanks for the post. We have sailed here a bunch of times just never got their super early like we plan to this time and hopefully May also. I know the new terminal is quite efficient so that's good. First time we sailed Anthem we on the ship in about 20 minutes. Hey maybe for Oasis May 2020 we'll get "The key" if they offer it of course. If they offer that and the price is right I would get "the key".
  17. Thanks guys, We'll shoot for 10:15 or 10:30 right on the money. I'd like to be on the ship very early this time around just to see how it goes. We will be sailing Anthem from NJ if that makes any difference. In May 2020 we will be on Oasis from NJ.
  18. What is the real deal with arrival times or boarding times. We usually get to the port to board at noon but this time, in Sept on Anthem at Cape Liberty I want to get there at 10 AM exactly or right about. That is the beginning of boarding time right? Will we be able to board fairly quickly or early or will it just be chaos? Anybody else do this cause its something I would like to try? Are there usually a ton of people waiting or is it a less crowded time? Thanks for any help.
  19. Thanks guys, great posts, great links. I hope we get some artist renderings soon. I'm pretty curious.
  20. No problem, they were a pleasure to work with. Got a really cool cabin at a perfect price for me. John Ames was excellent and Melissa also.
  21. This class of ship was announced quite a while ago but I haven't seen any new news on it? No artist renderings or anything? Any idea when we might see more concrete info on this class of ship? I originally read it was supposed to be bigger than Quantum class but smaller than Oasis class, but then I heard something about it being even bigger than Oasis class. Any info would be cool as I'm curious about this new class?
  22. Awesome new! I just booked Oasis for next year with MEI that supports this website and could not be happier. They were and are excellent. I have no doubt they will take care of everything and any issue should they arise.
  23. Just presented the fake or mock tickets to my wife and son. All are very excited. Its cruise mode for the next 315 days. Anthem this Sept and then Oasis May 10, 2020. Showed my wife the room just now and she really like it like I did. I think its gonna be a fun room.
  24. I hope so, because closer to sailing I will be asking questions again.?
  25. Excellent suggestion, taking in all the info I can and then have to ask again in 300+ days because I forgot by then. ?
