Thanks guys, appreciate the info. Definitely would book at the same time, and really would like the same cabin. Yeah these are cruises from NJ/Cape liberty. Have to think about the financials of it all also. 2 deposits and final payment just about the same day or very close. I love the idea though so maybe we can make it happen.

There are 2 shorter cruises I'm looking at for 2021, a 4 day to Canada and then 5 days to Bermuda. Thinking about possibly, I mean still a long shot but thinking about a back to back cruise. Please any info you think I need to know before booking a back to back. Any info you can think of, financial or otherwise? Thanks for any advice.

We are going stopping at Nassau on Oasis in May and we almost immediately said we are staying on the ship. We have never stayed on the ship in port and want to try it. We also do not find any excursions appealing, and the excursions are expensive, plus we heard and saw in You Tube videos that if you just get off and explore the hawkers are very aggressive. Perfect situation to just enjoy an empty Oasis.

Is the "Thrill water park" a waste for a 6 year old? Our son will still be 6 in May when we go to Coco Cay on Oasis. He'll be 7 in July. Its a bit expensive which is fine if he is going to get much out of it. There is a free kids water park part if I'm reading things right. Is he too big for that and would that be sufficient you think for 6 year old? What are your thoughts on all this? Thanks for any advice/direction.

Wow, I'm quite surprised at how much love Jamie's is getting here. We loved it too but will try Giovanni's on Oasis.

We have LOVED Jamie's on our last 2 Anthem cruises but on Oasis in May they have Giovanni's Table. I remember Portofino on Explorer back when she was in NJ. What are your thoughts on Giovanni's table over Jamie's? What is your preferences and what are the main differences? Is Giovanni's Table more like Portofino? Looking forward to trying Giovanni's Table as it will be different from Jamie's. Thanks for your thoughts.

We are gonna try to self disembark on Oasis from NJ in May also. We are planning already on how to do this. Its only my wife and I and our 6 year old son. We really are great at packing just what we need. We never over pack so it will be easier for us. I'm thinking one big suitcase, but maybe another small suitcase. We are going to buy those vacuum bags where we can really make our clothes really thin. I think we can save serious space and maybe do everything in one big suitcase.

As usual junior suite really isn't a suite. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind when booking going forward.

Jealous, I am definitely jealous.? So when you say suite guest does that include junior suites because that is what we are going to start booking when my salary goes up in 2020 and then 2021. Junior suite or Grand suite next year or the year after. Does junior suite count for this perk?

Thanks for the sarcastic answer. The answer I'm looking for is it's perfectly ok on other classes of ships that have a helipad and for some reason not allowed in this class, although I guess it is if your the right guest, or status of guest. This isn't a choice of should they have a certain bar or restaurant or decor to a bar. This class has the same helipad as the others and the others have access. And no I did not appreciate your snarky sarcastic answer. Next time don't answer at all.

So what places, spots on the ship are the best in your opinion for sail away? Keep in my this is NJ so going under the bridge will be fun.

I don't understand why on Voyager class ships you can but not on Oasis? It really makes no sense not to use that part of the ship. With that being said, that is the deal. What are some good, not really bad crowded places for sail away on Oasis with a 6 year old in mind?

Is that something new because we sailed out of NJ on Explorer on the helipad? I saw videos of lots of people in the helipad on YouTube?

Even though still 4 months or so from our Oasis cruise still I was thinking of good places for sail away and totally forgot Oasis has a Helipad. I remember that being an awesome place for sail away on Explorer from NJ going under the bridge. Agree a good place for sail away on Oasis? How do you get to the Helipad, is it a pain to get to or is it a crazy maze to find? Any thoughts would be great, thanks.

I'd be even worse. The risk of fire is too great, I wish they would ban smoking, period. I would ban ban smoking altogether.

Yeah I actually make it a point to say "could not care less". People say it so far or often I don't think they pay attention. I really could not care less what someone wears to dinner on a cruise ship on vacation. To each their own.

Our first cruise on Anthem a 2 years ago I remember we were headed down to dinner and I completely forgot about the "no shorts" rule and as we were standing online I realized I was wearing shorts. I was like Ut oh are they gonna give me a hard time or turn me away and no one said a word to me. No one even looked or cared I don't think. I too could not care less what someone wears to dinner. This isn't the Titanic in 1912 when there were classes and 10 course dinners in a tux. It's modern day cruising to an island.

I just wear a nice shirt, and khakis. Its no big deal, you don't have go overboard like you are sailing on Cunard. I lost a lot of weight before our Anthem cruise in September so I was excited to dress up just a bit. I like wearing decent clothes not that I'm not fat. ?

Oh awesome, we are on the same cruise. As soon as we saw Oasis was coming to NJ we had to book. Cape Liberty is an extremely easy terminal, very efficient.
