  1. Just hope they don't get confused and try to "credit me" . I had asked if I could use FCC for deposit and they said no. I put up a fresh $1000 deposit and they went on to tell me that whats left f the credit would have to be used within 6 months of the new trip I booked (June-Dec) ... I told them I was no longer really interested in FCC if they were going to put so many strings on it...
  2. Day later and things still showing active... Did the email link to cancel cruises/cruise credit and go for refund. No acknowledge email. Every thing still showing as it did...
  3. Hate be be a bother again but not knowing the answer has me asking questions again... Ok... I got the dreaded note along with so many that we had been cancelled... I detailed in another thread my dislike of having to shell out another $1000 in deposits when I have an already bloated FCC that I won't be able to spend as they are demanding I use it within 6 months of my next sailing? (Yeah I know, sounds weird to me too when I see all the July 2021 elsewhere)... Any way, I go to my main page... The cancelled trips are still showing active? More troubling is that all the stuff I bought in the Planner is being shown as still current?????? The gal last night said they were cancelled but they show very much active on purchase history and my calendar? There is a place to "modify" or "Cancel" . Do I need to manually cancel each item (loads of them on the two reservations for our two rooms) ??? Or might that upset the system??? My app only shows the cancelled trip as active and not the newly booked one as well...
  4. Clear that it doesn't... At times... One thing I have found though with RCL is their inconsistency... A gal in one of my Facebook groups was told that they will "return the deposit to the card it was drawn from" when the FCC actually becomes available... I have no idea... I do know that when I recently went for an upgrade I had five different stories from five reps and the last one made me happy as can be... Its with reasonable certainty that I will use the same tenacity I did negotiating the upgrade. (Which by the way is always done with full respect and cordiality to the person on the other end of the line...)
  5. I was told that mine is only good 6 months... I'll have enough for another cruise but need to come up with deposits again so will still be off track...
  6. Got my Indy trip cancelled... Ok not end of world. Generous FCC offered. Great! Go to book another cruise... FCC can't be used for deposit??? I did not know that. FCC is already more than next trip by 500 and now 1000 more cash out of pocket to make booking. That means after this next trip I have 1500 FCC that has to be used within 6 months of my next sailing or lose it forever ??? That was another "detail " I wasn't privy to. This is not the same as that widely advertised cancellation policy... Careful...

  8. I have no intention of cancelling Indy on 4/4... Being that it leaves from Ft. Lauderdale and they had a couple shore workers test positive over by where Princess berths there's a possibility of the port following Baltimore's lead and shutting down. Then we have the distinct possibility that RCL may be pressured into following Princess lead... So though not intended it may come to being forced into a cancel situation...
  9. Will likely just try the two person booking and cancel one... I wouldn't have to do this if Crown and Anchor treated old sailings like newer ones... (double points for suites)...

  14. Great deals out there right now... Was thinking of doing a solo one to get my points up over the next level. See one listed at 229 + 82 taxes...Ok so I'm figuring 612+- for two. One should be less by taxes? Not sure? I try mock bookings... 2 is indeed around 615... Single though is 860 ???? ? I've never understood RCL pricing but thats just silly...

  17. I might have been doing it wrong? Do I look at the base of the bar codes? Numbers seem to be possible. Opposite ends of the ship but possible...
  18. Its how the get the common guy... Same exact layout, same exact everything including same exact price on line... What I'm most angry at was them deliberately telling us no such room with two pullmans existed in the part of the ship we wanted. There were a load all over that area!
  19. In all the bookings I have had with RCL or any other for that matter it was the most disturbing I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Wrong at a lot of levels...

  21. It was 400 upgrade and lost 200 OBC.. On the mock booking that listed our desired room they showed the same price we paid originally for the first room... First and only time I did at Next Cruise and left a really bad taste in my mouth. I would have cancelled all together not worrying about the 400 lost deposit but I was committed to Fiancee and her kids ... Though I was fuming and feeling burnt with the one room, I'm happy now with the upgrades... Just want my room assignments... ?
  22. Same exact square footage , same exact layout, different "number " perhaps but exact same room exact same deck, just better location. I see they label lots of very similar or identical rooms with a few different "classes" . They try (accomplish) to up charge or otherwise stick it to people when switching... "Oh thats a N8 and you are moving to a N3 ... They are both 184 sq ft, they both have the same window, they are 50 feet from each other on the same deck and hall but they're "Different"...
  23. This next cruise (4/4 on Indy) has been a roller coaster of emotions. My fiancee and I loved the ship and the cabin we had last year. So much so that we got impulsive and went to next cruise... We asked if there were any OV cabins with 2 pullmans in the area of the room we had and loved. They flat out said no. They showed us one in the bow as being one of "the only ones". We bit and had to pay extra since "we chose it". They did give us an ok OBC though. Got back home and did a mock booking and low and behold there was exactly what we were looking for RIGHT NEXT to the room we loved! They upcharged again and took our OBC to book that room! Recently (as many of us know) rates have crashed recently... Of course a few days after final payment. I know no refunds but I went to work on upgrades. I had a few tell me they don't do that. Then finally I connected with a reasonable team and negotiated a deal where I was happy. I added some $$$ Make it happen but happy. 2 Balconies instead of the 1 crammed OV. It hurt like hell having to cancel had the excursions I had so painstakingly waited for price drops to book. (So far they have only gone up since rebooking at what was full price) . Now my anxiety... The balconies we upgraded to are GTY... About 10 days ago I got emails saying "Your new e-docs are ready !" Not only did they not have any new info about what room the "Balcony" part of "Balcony GTY" vanished??? Called and they put that back on. Last night got emails again saying "your guest vacation documents are ready". Same thing as before no room, no luggage tag assignments, set sail passes on line show GTY, more details does show Balcony as well. So I have nothing to print at this time. Went to check my app . Its not functioning and said to call RCL. I called, hour on hold then they told me the app is broken.? We havn't told the teens about having two rooms and want it to be a surprise. Have some fun plans about how we are going to let them know but can't dial in details , til they are assigned... Making me nervous with the new bookings and cancellations changing whats available in fluid fashion. Twice in last few days they were showing all balconies sold out ship wide as well as Junior Suites. Last night one 1br grand suite and 8 balconies remained... I know they can wait til last minute to let you know. Whats the latest anybody has been notified. I've always been past the 30 day mark and we're in the 28 day range now...
