  1. I always thought when they introduced ages 18-25 that it would be pretty weird. Mixing underage drinkers with drinkers doesn't make sense, neither does have 24 and 25 year old men chasing after 18 and 19 year old girls. Did Royal Caribbean finally update this to separate the ages more? 18-20 would be more appropriate in my mind. I do also understand 18-20 would be very niche, so there's that also. Anyone with children had experiences with the hyperlink meetups? What were your kids thoughts?
  2. I just saw a video of Wonder of the Seas, is it true that Solarium Bistro is now charging for dinner? Pre-Covid I went on Symphony and Oasis, and neither charged for Solarium for dinner.
  3. Sailing is in first week of June, and I just realized my daughters passport expired. What should I bring in place of her expired passport so that she can get off and on the ports (Bahamas, Cozumel, Roatan and Costa Maya) with no issue? She has a learner's permit, birth certificate, and of course the expired passport.
  4. Is there a floorplan for all of the oceanview rooms? I always assumed oceanview will be in the front or back of the ship only. But now that I look at Icon of the Seas, they have a bunch that's mid-ship. Of course that ship is designed a bit different. As front/back there will be a good amount of motion with oceanview. As one person in particular gets motion sickness.
  5. If entered wrong year for a child, does it have to be fixed since the year would be different on their passport or can it just be left alone?
  6. Thank you guys. We have passports, and was just confirming for a new cruising group. So making sure I was correct on the information I was going to tell them. Will suggest passports for adults for emergency reasons and official copy of certificates for the little ones.
  7. From Port Canaveral to Charlotte Amalie and Philipsburg, two adults with a five year old and three year old, would anyone in the group require a passport or are copies of birth certificate good enough for all five? Passports is only optional, as it'll be easier to get back to the United States with it if we missed our cruise from one of the destinations correct? If passports are recommended for the adults, then how about the two little ones? Just birth certificate for them?
  8. Yeah I just realized, I think if they did an oceanview then the best bet would be deck 3 since they're midship. I just don't want them to feel force to get a balcony, so making sure they have all the information.
  9. I've never done a oceanview or interior. What are the best decks + locations for Oasis class to not feel the movement of the ship/waves? I've only done balconies on Oasis, decks 6-12. Only once I have felt the motion of the boat and that's when I did Boardwalk which was located at the back of the ship, and I said never again lol. P.S. This question is for a family member btw who are cruising for the first time and doesn't like motion at all. I am just presenting them all options for each cabin.
  10. I would advise to always do new ports, and then when you run out of ports to just pick your favorite ships or change cruise lines to see more places.
  11. Is there a dance club for kids under 18? My daughter is saying there's one for 16 and up, and she'll be 2 weeks away from turning 16 by the time we sail. So I am curious if there's even such a thing, and if so the age range. She likes the idea of dances and just hearing the music and watching people. She has pleaded many times to sail for her birthday which is what we always do, but with our family growing to 5 and the cost to sail in June is like $300+ per person, it's not worth it for her to do some dance one night lol.
  12. I didn't do an exact count on this floor, but isn't there about 104 rooms from end to end in a single row? So to actually be in the middle would be 40-50 range right? Am I being tricked by a TA in that 12600 and 12598 is mid-ship or is it more at the end of Aft? I did a back of the ship balcony last time on Symphony for the first time ever and vowed never to do that again. Preferred not to be rocking while trying to go asleep.
  13. So even if I book 3 interior rooms and then a few months later decide I just want to do 2 balconies (# of people remain the same) only. That's fine also? Or will I have to upgrade all 3 rooms and make it 3 balconies. Just making sure as I intend on booking interior and then upgrading if I feel like it.
  14. Let's say I booked an interior room for a June 2023 booking. But in November, I decided I wanted an interior or balcony just due to pricing I've seen. Will there system allow me to do an upgrade and pay the difference or is there a fee associated with changing cabins for the same boat/date?
  15. If I booked a cruise today on the official website, and then 14 days later PriceLine, Direct Line Cruises, Cruises, American Discount, CruisesOnly, etc has a cheaper price for the same room type, will Royal price match it or does that cheaper price have to appear on the official website for them to do price adjustment?
  16. My daughter LOVED cruising at that age, we went on Symphony however. We never dropped her off at the nursery because she could just play in the pool during the daytime. If it were free, we would've only put her in the nursery if we had to watch shows only. We kept to her bedtime, which was 8:30 so we can have our adult time. Even on a busy ship there was space for a stroller (we didn't use one) but I definitely think you can bring one on your boat. I would use one of those umbrella strollers though, which is what we brought for the ports. I did a lot of research when we took our daughter and a lot of parents said they saw strollers or used one themselves on the ship. Oasis class is very busy and I can honestly see a stroller still being doable, so I am sure on Voyager is doable. You guys will have fun regardless of the season your going. He may be a bit fussy during meals but outside of that your son should have fun. My son is turning 2 in October and I think he would do fine if he went on a cruise this year.
  17. Planning on cruising next year, it's going to be a large group. I am wondering how many people do you need to receive a group discount and is that discount even significant to do? We don't have interest in having all of our rooms next to each other, the main thing is it worth even combining everyone if a discount is significant. If it's $100 off, then that's not a major deal.
  18. Royal released their schedule for 2022, and most of the dates seem to have Allure docked internationally. So I am guessing they will be doing the refurbishments then? Which is unfortunate for me as I was desperately waiting to sail a refurbished ship with Oasis of Seas no longer porting from Florida. Leaves me with Harmony since I already did Symphony.
  19. Once Allure is refurbished (assuming they do not remove anything that was stated to be added) what will be different between their refurbishment and the one the Oasis went under in 2019? As the main thing I was interested in was the new 2 story music hall and the karaoke room, which both of them would've had. Is there anything different in the refurbishments?
  20. Prior to final payment, you have to choose the refundable option correct which is like an extra $100-200 per guest in booking cost but you get 100% refund? If you choose the non-refundable option and cancel prior to final payment you lose $100 per person right?
  21. When it opens I want to book Allure of Seas for May/June of 2022. I believe Royal updated their cancellation policy? If you select the protection to get a refund if you cancel how late can you do it? I thought I read you can now cancel a few days before you sail when before it was like 2-3 months prior and you'll get 100% money back? Can someone please explain the cancellation policy for if you choose the refund option or the nonrefundable option? Is it really a 100% refund or will Royal keep a little bit of the money? I am asking because if Allure is not renovated by May 2022 (which I would know when 2022 starts) then I would switch ships to sail the Symphony again (or Odyssey of the Seas if no other group joins us). I'm actually thinking of booking two ships when they release the full schedule for 2022 just to have a backup in case renovations are not done.
  22. Ok I'm more than a year out from sailing date in May 2021. I know 95% of the rooms have to be available. What's the trick to booking a connecting room lol. It shows an option to show connected rooms when I do 2 rooms. I have 3 guest in each room. It shows the arrows for connecting rooms but doesn't allow me to book both rooms. It's either the room with the door and then 2 units down for every connecting room. Is this something I have to call and get them to give it to me (and they probably will upcharge me) or what's the deal. Anyone had success booking connected rooms online?
  23. I've never done a refundable cruise. I've always booked max 3 months out, and the past one I booked it two weeks beforehand and scored the best price since a year out from sailing. The only reason I am doing refundable this time around is because I am booking so soon. Priceline Cruises has shown the best prices, even for the cruise we did last year. So I just want to keep my options open being so far out between cruise alerts I am getting and priceline. That way with refundable I can get my money back 100% between now and 90 days from sailing in May 2021. I am still waiting for prices to show between 800-900 for a balcony for this silly refurbished allure. Lowest is like 1000 for interior room, which I wouldn't mind but I think we will need that extra space with putting a crib/pack n play inside the room.
