  1. You'd have to check previous cruise compasses for similar sailings on Liberty. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass?ship=277
  2. If you purchased a 2-device package for yourself, you can be logged into your laptop and phone at the same time. If you bought one 2-device package that you are sharing with your husband, then there can only be two devices logged in at the same time. It doesn't matter which devices they are, there are just 2. This is what we do, and it works fine.
  3. The benefit for booking with a GOOD travel agent is that you have one person dedicated to your trip. My TA can make suggestions for sailings, look for group rates, check for price drops, and, most importantly, take care of a problem should one arise. And they do. My last problem would have taken me 3+ days of being on the phone to take care of. But my TA took care of it, solving the problem and saving me probably dozens of hours on the phone. I know nothing about Direct Cruises, but I would never book through somewhere like Costco, Cruise.com, etc. They are often left out of things like Royal Up and other promotions AND I love that I have someone that I can email/phone or text whenever I have a question or problem. A good cruise TA will not charge for their services, as they all get a commission from the cruiseline. Some take their commission AND charge customers a fee (I'm looking at you, Travel Leaders), so know what the policy is before you work with someone. Many of us use MEI Travel (a sponsor of this blog, but more importantly, some of the nicest, incredibly talented TAs you'll ever find). If you go to the home page of this blog, there's a big yellow form you can fill out and someone from MEI will contact you. But if you don't want to go that route, just be sure you know what you're paying for when you find someone. Good luck!
  4. Yep, sometimes that's how it works. That's why you must pay close attention to what you're paying for.
  5. The price varies. Buy it at a price that you're comfortable with, and check for price drops. Only look at the price per day. Don't pay attention to the percentage off, as it really means nothing. It is always more expensive on board.
  6. My advice is get a travel agent who can work through these details.
  7. Drink packages cannot be shared. If the kids don't drink much soda, you can just buy their sodas individually.
  8. Won a Royal Up from a Jr Suite to Crown Loft on Allure - October 2021 - I bid a bit over minimum. I was Emerald at the time. I also won one from an Oceanview Balcony to a Jr Suite on Navigator in June 2023 (the group cruise) at minimum bid. I was Diamond.
  9. You have 30 days after putting a deposit down to transfer a booking to a new agent.
  10. Please make a separate post for each sailing. Thank you.
  11. If you check in using the mobile app you can just pick an arrival time and complete everything else later.
  12. It varies by ship/sailing (you can check previous Cruise Compasses on this site), but none of them are compulsory. A typical 7-night sailing out of North America will have 2 formal nights, and it varies how many people actually participate.
  13. I'm not aware of one for arrival. Really, it seems that would only work if you flew in the day of your sailing and that's just a bad, bad, idea.
  14. Welcome to the forums! Many of us use M.E.I. Travel. There's a big yellow form on the home page of this website. Just fill it out and someone will get in touch with you!
  15. Call whoever you booked your sailing through. Call your travel agent if you booked through them, or Royal Caribbean directly, if you booked directly through them.
  16. What are the dates of this sailing?
  17. I'd book now and prepay. On the ship, I'd head to the casino and load the credit onto a slot machine and then just cash out.
  18. This happened to me. I was fortunate to have an excellent travel agent, who took care of everything for me. Sorry this happened to you.
  19. I don't believe so. But I get any unused back as cash in the casino. I'm terrible at explaining how it's done, but someone brighter than I may explain it.
