  1. Well we have made it to the airport and through security. Just waiting to board now and we will be on our way. Sure glad to be getting away from this for a bit..
  2. That what we thought too, and we have several sea days, so I can see just sitting out there staring at the ocean. And thanks for following to everyone else! Knowing that people will be following along makes me more excited to share.
  3. Hello all! First off, after @twangster's epic blog on this same itinerary just last week, I'm not sure how I can live up, but I'm sure we will have some different experiences and I'm happy to share ours! Lets get started.... This will be our first ever cruise, always wanted to do it, and finally making it happen! We are celebrating our 10-year anniversary and will be sailing with my Cousin and his wife, also celebrating their 10-year. This will also be our first trip without the kids (5,3, and 1) so we are a little nervous, but still super looking forward to it! We are flying into Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday. We are coming from Seattle, WA, so its a bit of a flight with a layover, so we wanted to make sure we give ourselves plenty of time before the cruise. We will be staying in Miami Beach at The Confidant hotel for the two nights prior to the cruise. We have a balcony stateroom on Deck 9, mid ship. We considered just doing an interior room, but decided to splurge a little bit and I think its going to be great! We did purchase The Key for this sailing, as well as a BOGO dining and the Deluxe Beverage Package, shaping up to be a good time! We have several things planned and booked at our ports, you'll have to check back to see what happens! I'll try to post pictures and update as much as time and VOOM allows me to. If you have any questions, ask away and I'll do my best to answer them!
  4. Well right now there would be because you get priority tendering, once the pier is open, there won’t be too much of a benefit
  5. Was that an Express as well? Or still a sit-down? You better believe I'll still be trying it!
  6. I can't wait. We sail on the 15th. First cruise and loving all that you are posting
  7. Nickel and Diming I tell ya, nickel and dime! I'm kidding.. I guess I'll just hang out in the Bamboo room instead!
  8. Pretty cool. We bought this for our Navigator sailing next week! Looking forward to it!
  9. Making me rethink my whole decision to get the drink package...
  10. @twangster have you had a chance to check out the milkshakes yet?
  11. @twangster I am loving this blog! We are on the similar itinerary on March 15th. Its our first cruise and this is all making me so much more excited, if that was even possible! Question for you.. Are you using a travel router on this sailing? I saved your old post about the router, and I have one that I am planning to take with me, mostly just to help boost the wifi signal.
  12. Did the drink package cover those "specialty" drinks? Or were you up-charged $2 from the "classic"?
  13. I do love me a good malt!! We will be on in two weeks, I’ll have to check it out, for research
  14. Yeah, I wonder if that’s the 18% service charge like all other drinks?? I thought the same. Doesn’t seem too extreme for me. I actually feel like all the prices aren’t bad, just miss the cover charge!
  15. Just saw this picture from Navigator, looks like the new express isn’t a cover charge anymore? That’s a bummer, but might make it easier to get a milkshake with the Beverage package?
  16. I think an Uber or Lyft is the way to go. That trip should run you about $40. There are also taxis always parked out front of the airport waiting for rides as well.
  17. Thanks! Always amazes me how much information is around this site and the people on it! Thanks for all that info, super helpful! we decided to get the Key, even though it's our first sailing, it's not likely to be a regular thing for us to be able to cruise, as we are in Washington on the west coast. However, an Alaska cruise is definitely on our bucket list!
  18. I knew that there was a limit of two bags per person, where I wasn’t sure if it was a size requirement. We will likely only have two bags per person including carry-on and checked luggage
  19. That’s what I wasn’t sure of. I didn’t know if they had size restrictions for a “carry-on“ luggage like the airlines do. This is our first cruise so please excuse the newbie question!
  20. So we bought The Key for our Navigator sailing on March 15th (in 3 weeks!!) and my wife and I were talking about our bags, curious if I am missing something or if this will actually work... We were talking about not checking any bags and "carrying" them all on and dropping them off, that way they would all be delivered to the room when it was open, and we wouldn't have to wait around for our bags.. How does that sound? Seems like it could be a great perk!
  21. Loving this all! we have 27 days till our first ever cruise on Navigator and your posts are just getting me more and more excited! all the food, the shows, the sunsets.. amazing!
  22. That's OK, just gives me hope that they are in-fact adding it after the refurb!
