  1. what date are you sailing in October. We are on 10/22 cruise
  2. i was reading in a "cruise info site" (dont remember which one, but related to RC), and it said to list upgrades in my preferences. but when I go to my settings and preferences, I dont see that option any where. Am I missing something?
  3. I think thats what we decided to do. rental is like $120 for the day and UberXL would be like $80. have half day to shop and some beach time...
  4. ok, a question, or more, asking for suggestions... set up info - flying in and out of Fort Lauderdale to take advantage of free baggage with Southwest, but cruise is out of Miami. Uber planned to port, no issue. BUT, return flight isnt until 4pm after we return. obviously we disembark around 8am. What to do while waiting to get to airport.???? Thoughts - the beach, but will have all our bags with us. What to do with them? cant just leave with an Uber driver. Thought was to rent a car for the day (about same as Uber rate), but do rental car companies have shuttles from the port to the rental station? if so, what time should shuttle pick us up (how long will it take to disembark)? we are in Mariner, so decent size ship.. I just dont want my boys to be real bored for 6/6 hrs before going to the airport... thanks for suggestions..
  5. i didnt know what "packing cubes" were, so had to look them up. How do they save space? I would think they would take up more space in a suitcase?
  6. We have taken an "extra" rolling suiitcase that maybe 1/2 full at best. That end up being our dirty laundry suitcase for trip home and leaves room in others for stuff bought on the trip.
  7. Disney "formal" wasnt very formal. But upcoming trip is on R C. I "assume" that would be more strict with dress. I am not sure if there will be a "formal" night on a 4 night cruise anyway. Any idea when that will be communicated?
  8. Ok, general question. I am headed soon on my 6th cruise this fall for my first R C cruise. My boys (9 and 17) have not been on a cruise (17 yr old was on Disney, but obviously different style). They are not "used to" formal dining situations. To avoid them being uncomfortable and also extra unneeded clothes packing, do you recommend skipping formal night with kids? But also, dont want to just do buffet dining whole trip. The main dining on Disney was great for kids. Also, we are headed on Mariner of the Seas for 4 night Caribbean this fall with one night at sea. would there even be a formal night on that length of a cruise and if so, what night is most likely?
  9. These updates would be awesome. Just booked my Late October cruise. Excited for the updates.
