What makes the rescue even more remarkable is the fact Empress of the Seas was not scheduled to be there. Due to adverse weather conditions on Empress' original route, the ship's itinerary was altered and ended up "being in the right time, at the right place."
We couldn’t agree more, @jimvanfleet! We’re so proud of our crew and extremely grateful for the Mariners’ safety. 💙
