Flip9880
Hello Everyone! So I'm not really a first time cruiser but since it's been over 25 years since my first one, it feels like I'm a total Newbie! I'll be traveling with my parents (who'll have there own cabin) then my sister and my 2 kids (we'll share a cabin). We waited kind of late to book this cruise (sailing August 17th) so we're having a hard time finding the perfect cabin for us! Not many 4-person cabins left. But I'm working with one of the awesome travel agents from MEI so I'm not stressing TOO much! Can someone tell me if staying on Deck 3, mid ship will be a bad idea? I've looked at the cabin positions and while Deck 3 is beneath several public areas of the ship, the two cabins given to us aren't right next/across from the the public restrooms, the elevators, or the restaurant found on that deck. So my question is, do you guys think it will be too loud? He found two other cabins on Deck 9 BUT the difference in price is like $450...which we can use for excursions and DRINKS!! Thanks in advance for your help!!

Don't overlook two smaller cabins and splitting up. It may not be that much more expensive, and then you get an extra bathroom! Full disclosure: I haven't stayed in those rooms, but I think the "noise bleed" issue in this particular location shouldn't be an issue. I've stayed in rooms near elevators, underneath restaurants, etc and had pretty good luck with it not being noisy. Like you said, that can pay for a lot of other other cruise costs!
