pat8635 Posted January 14 Author Report Posted January 14 So, I called RCI. They said it was the vendor that cancelled the shore excursion. I explained it wasn't a shore excursion, MANY MANY TIMES. She caught on and said it was a mass event and nothing can be done. They will try and get me a $10 credit. I was not impressed. Lesson learned, don't take a RCI cruise for a specific activity. Don't every make other plans around an escape room. I love cruising on these ships, but man they certainly do things that make me want to try the competition, despite the free drinks I am going to finally get! Quote

I just when they send the cancellation notice with refund mentioned, that they explained why. P.S. - OP good that you got a $10 credit ontop of a refund. Quote

pat8635 Posted January 18 Author Report Posted January 18 Well, i am thinking this is a huge profit center for them. They had my money since april. I could have added to my sound hound stock and instead if waiting 14 days for a refund i would have tripled my money. I would ve much more likely to shake this off as a cancelled port or excursion, but this is the second time this has happened on the same ship. The rubicon is seeming like a loss leader and or profit center. Not happy! Quote
PlanetRC Posted January 22 Report Posted January 22 We missed it on our sailing back in November 2023. It was a real disappointment, especially since we were sailing Star Class and could have done it for free. At this point, they might as well remove the escape room entirely from Harmony. This is at least the 2nd extended period for which the thing has been down for whatever reason in the last 2 years. They need to either remove it completely or replace it with an escape room experience that actually works and is easy to maintain/fix. Quote
MdFormula350 Posted January 22 Report Posted January 22 wow that sucks, sorry to hear that, i havent tried any of these rooms yet, but to be honest never was into them on land either. i pretty much stopped getting arcade credit ahead of time due to the fact it seems that quite a few are always either out of order or broken and take my money then i need to spend time going to customer service to resolve that.
