Costa Maya Power Cat. and snorkel

Hey All,

My wife and I love snorkeling! I know Costa Maya is not great for snorkeling. We have already planned snorkeling in Cozumel and Roaton. Is it even worth it to do the catamaran and snorkel tour in Costa Maya?

I was planning on doing Maya Chan but the ship leaves at 2PM....

I have seen other posts about snorkeling through 3rd party vendors at Mahahual, the village a short taxi ride from the secure port area. I haven't tried it though.
