Levi is good Posted May 12, 2023 Report Share Posted May 12, 2023 We have a situation where one of our cruise party is having a flareup of a fully non-contagious, non-life-threatening medical issue, that might be enough of an issue that we can't go. We will not know until 72 hours before our flight next week if he can go on the cruise. If he stays home, I do, too. We are insured. I was just wondering if anyone has had to cancel their cruise before without the whole Future Cruise Credit thing. I know we would not get a penny back from RC, but I'm wondering if there a way to do this anyone has found that puts us in the best position when it comes to insurance claims. Thank you. Hopefully this post won't be needed but being prepared makes me feel a little bit in control. The others in our party would still go. twangster Posted May 12, 2023 Report Share Posted May 12, 2023 Talk to your insurance provider and ask them... what if type questions? Royal will refund port fees and taxes. Your insurance company may request a letter from Royal stating how much they are refunding (port fees and taxes) so they know how much the claim is for.
