Ashley Hitch
My fiance and I are considering an Alaska cruise that departs from Vancouver and finished in Seward. The closest airport to Seward is Anchorage but is 3 hours away. Has anyone used the port Transfer options similar to this and have any advice? twangster
There are several choices but popular choices do sell out first. The cruise line normally charters a train through the Alaskan Railroad. This train is dedicated to ship passengers. It can only be booked through the cruise line. It can sell out so it may not be an option for your dates. The Alaskan Railroad operates normal passenger service between Seward and Anchorage that can't be booked through the cruise line. It can only be booked using the Alaskan Railroad website or phone call center This train is open to the public and uses a public train station in Seward and a different train station in Anchorage (compared to the cruise charter train). This train usually offers different classes of service include Gold Star with glass dome cars. There is bus service that can been booked. There are rental cars that can be booked. These have nothing to do with the cruise line. Anyone can book these. Cactus527
