Inner Tubing the White River in Jamaica for kids?

Hi!  

We are looking for information about Inner Tubing the White River in Jamaica.  We have a 5 year old, and wondered if the rapids are too rough for a 5 year old.  Thoughts from those that have done this excursion would be a great help!

Are the inner tubes too big for a 5 year old, aka would they fall thru the hole in the middle?  Do they offer life jackets?

According to the Royal Caribbean excursion page, the minimum age to participate is 6 years old.
