Meals: How much and where?

First time cruiser here. Majesty of the Seas out of Port Canaveral to Cococay and Nassau. Sorry, I know these questions probably sound ridiculous...

Do we pay for all of our meals on board or only if going to a specialty restaurant? Can you get free water to drink (is it decent) or do you have to buy bottled?

The only instance of you paying for food on the ship would be eating at the speciality restaurants, a small fee to get late night room service, to buy anything at Ben and Jerry's, and a small upfront fee to get all you can eat Johnny Rockets. All other meals and buffets are included.

I've always gotten free water to drink and it's just fine.

Water, iced tea, tea, coffee, milk, lemonade, and flavored water are included in your cruise fare as is juice at breakfast. It is customary to tip for room service, although there is only a fee for it late at night. Note that the desserts at the specialty coffee bar are complimentary, too, and that you don't need to pay for a specialty coffee to enjoy those.

You only pay extra for meals at specialty restaurants.

There is complimentary water available onboard

And do not apologize for asking any question! We are here to help everyone :)

You will find more than enough food in the free included restaurants. As had been said water, ice tea, lemonade, coffee, tea all offered throughout the restaurants and self service machines.  Really you can go a whole cruise and pay no added charges for food or standard complementary drinks and have a great time.

As for questions, please never be scared to post here, sometimes you will not like the answers, sometimes you will.  But never apologize for asking questions. This is a open site and the Administrators work hard to make everyone feel welcome.

Well said, Todd.
