Britney
We’re new to RCI, primarily cruise on DCL, and we’re considering the unlimited food package which includes the specialty restaurants. Does anyone know if specialty restaurants include private tables when dining? We will be cruising on the Allure in September. We do not like to dine with others as it’s our vacation and time together, and we always request a private table ahead of time with DCL. We are not planning to eat in any of the main dining rooms. Thank you in advance!
Sh2738
Yes absolutely they are private tables. And private tables can also be requested in the MDR as well. Happy Cruising. Britney
ChessE4
But the tables are next to each other, so be careful when you bend over to pick up the fork you dropped....When we ate in chops the tables for two were about 6-8 inches apart. To be clear, in a specialty restaurant you make reservations for your party and aren't placed with others. In the MDR, you can request in advance to be by yourself or to share a larger table. Sh2738
And in the MDR you can make reservations ahead of time for the table size that you want using my time dining. So you wouldn’t have to eat with anyone else there either. That’s what we do and it works great. Happy Cruising Britney
Britney
Thank you a,k for your help! We are glad to hear private tables are an option, and it doesn’t sound too difficult to arrange. We will be careful not to drop our forks though
ScooterScott22
It seems that most of the specialty dining is setup like a “normal” restaurant. The majority of seating is a 4 top with a mix of some smaller and larger options. The one exception is Chef’s Table.
