  1. G'day, just wondering about the prepaid drinks packages, do we get a separate card for the drinks or is it all done with our cruise cards? Is there a page with accurate prices for drinks packages on board the Radiance of the Seas Peter
  2. My first ever cruise will be Sydney to New Zealand to Sydney cruise on board the Radiance of the Seas in February 2015, A cruise is long overdue for me as I have always loved watching the ships come and go, now my wife and I will experience our first. Peter
  3. G'day, Have booked the Sydney to New Zealand cruise on Radiance next February, We want to do one of the shore excursions that is listed as 9 hours, we are tendered for ten hours so does that mean we would have to skip breakfast, is the excursion 9 hours from embarking the tender? I am a little worried that by the time the ship stops and the tenders are ready and we get to shore that we will not get I all in, but I guess that seeing as it arranged by the ship it must be ok. Peter
  4. we have a deluxe room near an elevator near the front of the ship, I will be happy to walk to the back of the ship for food etc as it will counter balance the food I am going to eat. on a recent coach tour of the UK we were worried prior to leaving that we may not get enough food, we had so much food that we were putting on too much weight and being on a coach had no opportunity to lose the weight. so we will be eating and walking as much as we can
  5. I am a little worried now, that if I don't tip copiously to every person that does anything at all for me then I am going to be treated poorly. Being from Australia, (yes the dreaded non tipping Aussie) I am comfortable knowing that every service I use is done by a person that is paid to do the job, probably over paid, and that is another problem, Us Aussies are so accustomed to overpaying for every product and service we use it is hard to then pay somebody extra after already paying a fairly high price for the cruise originally, and paying a gratuity to people we may never even get to see. I wish I could get tipped every time I go out of my way to please a customer, it would certainly make my take home pay a lot better, as I always go out of my way to please customers. Peter
  6. Hi, I have paid for my prepaid gratuities, and will be paying for a prepaid drinks package. I am curious to know about who knows that I have paid tips, do waiters etc stand by waiting for tips or do they all except that tips are paid at the end of the cruise? I have a preconceived notion that each time a waiter or room attendant etc finish serving you they then wait for a tip is this wrong, being an Aussie I have never had to deal with tipping so I am not sure how it is done, I don't mind paying prepaid tips and know that when we prepay for drinks that tips are included. I have heard stories where people don't tip and then are treated badly for the rest of the trip for not tipping. so if I prepay do they then know and not wait for a tip, is tipping done with cash or allocated at the end of the trip with the cruise card? Peter
