  1. New night time hot offerings at Cafe Promenade? Top row items: Three Cheese and Tomato Panini, Croque Monsieur, Buffalo Chicken Ciabatta Bread, Mac and Cheese, Cuban Ham Croquette. Deeper analysis of the Buffalo Chicken Ciabatta Bread and Cuban Ham Croquette... Even deeper on the Buffalo Chicken Ciabatta Bread
  2. Aftermath... Yet one lone survivor... 12:21 and still managing to hold out... Plus that creepy guy is still watching everyone...
  3. Even some creepy guy up against the glass watching.
  4. Nice crowd gathering for the midnight balloon drop.
  5. Yup in a JS, don't recall hearing much in the way of having issues booking CK on Anthem. Not being connected to a Suite Lounge I believe takes away some of the demand.
  6. So plans did change from original thoughts, sorry @Lovetocruise2002 not going to be a part of #teamCK this sailing. Not all is lost, will be o #teamCK for the Anthem GC. So dinner plans wound up being Jamie's. Didn't go crazy but still was stuffed by the end. Ciabatta with olive oil and balsamic vinegar Crab and Avocado Bruschetta Arancini Margherita Classic Meat Plank Genaro's Tagliatelle Bolognese and Crispy Polenta Chips Truffle Tagliatelle Lamb Chops Scottadito Amalfi Lemon Meringue Cheesecake Epic Brownie Dessert wise left behind half the brownie and took the lemon meringue cheesecake back to the room. Keep in mind this the damage from two people, also left was probably half what was seen pasta wise. Didn't make is over to Izumi for a to-go sushi attempt. Think at this point the only other pay venue open is Playmakers.
  7. Broke down joined #teamdx... #iamweak
  8. Think they have to look it up within your profile. Isn't an automatic discount like having a drink package would be. Yeah, I know... funny... self control... on cruise... Based on what was told it would cover the regular cover charge for Izumi Hibachi ($45). Going to assume if I wanted one of the upgraded combos ($49) it would be the difference, going to say $4 plus maybe the 18% gratuity.
  9. Wow, 15 minute muster drill. Seems to be going quicker now. Seven short followed by one long tone right at 3:45, dismissal at 4:00. Made announcements at 3:15 and 3:30, no clue when the corralling from public areas started. Also a nice touch they gave those with wheels a short head start to make it towards the lifts, sorry Agent Blair meant elevators.
  10. Thinking it all out the challenge is portion control. Go into it with the mind set of not trying to indulge in everything the venue has to offer. Plus the challenge of resisting temptation, good example is not getting more fries and rings while waiting for your order at JR. Key thing to keep in mind, marathon not sprint. Then again I try and fail at this logic when doing Star class.
  11. Closure for now, got a phone call saying yes the Hibachi is covered and they would call down to make sure it was noted correctly. He made the claim that maybe the person misunderstood what package was trying to be used. He provided a name and number to call if any issues arise.
  12. Holding true to word, Royal is consistent at being inconsistent... Saw a sign for the beverage packages, showed Deluxe for $70 ppd. Right next to it buy first day BOGO50 offer, $66 and $33 ppd... If I see the two signs together again I'll grab a shot. Update: Saw another sign with all the packages listed. $66, $29, $12.99. Guessing DX must be $66
  13. First hit is Playmakers! One suggestion from the server was make sure to mention you have the UDP prior to ordering. The system doesn't automatically indicate you have it when paying. Playmakers Burger and 12 count wings. Note the wings were breaded but not too heavily. Minor league sauce was requested on the side.
  14. Yeah, for a GC think it almost becomes a requirement. I know @Matt says otherwise, but still my personal opinion.
  15. Not being a member of #teamdx is painful...
  16. Reached out to the Facebook social media team and they will reach out to the ship. Maybe it was a one off person manning the podium at Izumi.
  17. Yet another Hibachi related snag, claiming it isn't covered. Will only offer/cover $35, have to pay the difference.
  18. Hit a snag, the podium person booked Sushi and not Hibachi. Was told to go down there to check about availability.
  19. On the dining package front... Was able to book everything, including Izumi Hibachi. Just had to be flexible on a few times. Made all reservations at the podium right next to Sorrentos. Original thought was using the app in the terminal on Symphony's wifi, no luck getting it to processes the transition.
  20. Woohoo! Been on board for at least 15 minutes trying post.
  21. Wow, must have taken 25 minutes to reach the dropoff area after getting in to the port area. Got traffic going every which way. One helpful tip, keep right if dropping off, even still that doesn't help much.
  22. I'll take a cue from @Skid and post my precruise details. My day started off at waking up at 5:30 am for a 8:45 am direct flight from Tallahassee to Miami. Upon landing and retrieving my luggage, waiting at baggage claim for what felt longer than the flight was. After collecting my bags a Lyft was requested to the hotel for the night Marriott at Biscayne Bay [Lyft fare (7.27mi, 16m 7s) $17]. Surprisingly a room was ready for an 11 am check in. View from the room is nice being able to see PortMiami and the home for @Matt for the next three days way out in the distance. After settling in the itch to head back out took over. To satisfy it public transportation was embraced and took the free Miami MetroMover to the closest stop near Bayside Marketplace, from MetroMover stop to Bayside Marketplace place was a bit over a quarter of a mile. Biggest challenge was crossing the major street. Walking around Bayside Marketplace worked up an appetite and my travel companion had an itch to visit a barbeque joint from their time back in Miami. Conveniently the restaurant, Shorty's, is located right next to a Miami MetroRail stop. So hopped back on the MetroMover to a station that connected to the MetroRail. Procured a fare card for the cost of the round trip ($4.50) and was off to the Dadeland South stop. After dining headed back back to the hotel using the MetroRail and MetroMover combination. Back at the hotel nothing more special to really report. The room is reasonably sized, plenty of room to move around in it. Now time to try and get some more sleep. For all sake of cross posting, I'm doing a separate thread dedicated to the Unlimited Dining Package:
