Noticed Cruise Planner now only has one VOOM package. Surf + Stream for $8.99 for one device. Best price yet. I suppose you must purchase for each person instead of the 2 device package. Previous 2 device package was $21.99, so a savings of about $4. 
 

Apart from port infrastructure, the other big logistics issue with Alaska is that anything bigger than a Radiance class ship won't fit through the Panama Canal, which means they'd have to go around South America if they're coming from the Caribbean, or do a Transpacific if they're coming from Australia or Asia. Furthermore, these longer repositioning and Alaska cruises tend to cater to an older demographic that cares less about big ship amenities like flow-riders and slides. All of that is to say I suspect the economics won't add up for larger ships on Alaska any time in the near future.
 
But don't get me wrong, I'd personally love to see more options on the West Coast.
 
CORRECTION: I didn't realize that the Third Set of Locks Project was finally completed and opened a few months ago, which means all but Oasis class ships can make it through Panama now (Oasis class ships can also fit through the new locks but not under Bridge of the Americas).

Is there a way to find out who a Conceirge is on a particular ship or is there a list posted somewhere?

I'm cruising out of Fort Lauderdale on the Independence in April.
 
1) the departure flights out of FLL are not lining up to what I wanted. The noonish flights are in average $40 more per person, so that's an extra $160. The cheaper flights leave early AM or around 5pm. Is there something easily and fun to do to break up the day in FLL so we can take a later flight? Or will I be ready to pay more to get on an earlier flight?
 
2) Does anyone know they best breakfast restaurants, other than the windjammer? Also, we are thinking of doing a speciality dining restaurant one night. Any recommendations?

Has anyone else checked out the new website change?
 
Imho, it is way too busy, slow,and they try to cram way too much stuff into it. It's a sensory overload when trying to find anything on it.
 
I know the old website had its issues, but in my experience when most people visit travel sites, they want a quick and easy quote, which is defn not the case now with the site.
 
I have been on it for about an hour now, still haven't figured out to get a real quote in Canadian dollars yet either.
