  1. While we can't be sure of the weather in advance, our concerns are for the four $200 access passes paid for the CoCo Cay Beach Club and whether there is a refund policy. The 14-day report suggests a day of heavy storms. Do we have any recourse?
  2. We understand that there is a ferry to and from St. Johns that travels regularly, but this is a tour being offered by RCL for this sailing. The problem is that it is shown as departing at 10 am. The ship does not arrive in St Thomas until 12 noon. We are wondering if they adjust the departure for the arrival of the ship.
  3. We were planning to take the self-guided tour of St Johns during our St. Thomas stop in November, but the ship docks much later than the tour departs (based on the description) has any one been to St. Thomas recently with the later arrival and taken the St. John trip? I have called RCL but the staff was not aware of the time adjustment and getting back in time.
  4. I tried to get an answer from RC customer Service and they couldn't provide one. We wanted to take the short cruise over to St. Johns for the self-tour but it typically heads off earlier in the day. Does anyone know if they reschedule this to accommodate the late arrival and late departure?
  5. With everyone in our group, all paid up, I tried to make reservations in Izumi for our group and found it to be completely sold out for dinner during the entire cruise. I know our group is large but at more than 100 days out, I didn't expect this. Is anyone else finding specialty dining reservations to be a challenge for this sailing?
  6. Our group is expanding. Just added my oldest daughter with her husband and twin 5-year-olds. They are joining my younger daughter and her husband. The group will split up on CoCo Cay as the kids will be stationed in the kid's water park.
  7. Taking family members on the Wonder of the Seas for this November trip. Some members of the family are joining us as first-time cruisers. As we sail exclusively on Oasis class RC ships, I am always amazed when those new to cruising arrive at the terminal for the first time. The look on their face as they see the size is really great! While we have been to Labadee this is our first time to CoCo Cay. Looking forward to this. As we are a bunch of foodies, we have included the CoCo Cay Beach Club as part of our itinerary. We have been on both the original Oasis of the Seas as well as the Allure of the Seas. Looking forward to trying the latest dining options as well as the new Solarium space on Wonder.
  8. I have family members traveling with me on the Wonder of the Seas in November and we are wondering about the performance of the Voom Internet package and whether two of our group can rely on this for consistent WFO connectivity (I know it would involve logging into secure networks as well as Zoom/Teams calls). On 2 of the "at sea" days, these 2 need to work for half the day. Does anyone have experience (good or bad) that I can share with them?
  9. Thanks for all of the great tips! We will plan to arrive at the BC early to get lounge chairs on the beach (there are 4 of us). I will also make reservations for lunch at the BC (didn't realize this would be an issue).
  10. I am hoping that your experience proves to be right. We have been on a number of Oasis Class ships and have yet to try the Izumi restaurant and it was on our todo list
  11. We are sailing in November on Wonder of the Seas and this is our first trip to CoCo Cay. I have purchased entry for the family to the Beach Club (4) and I am wondering if the capacity control almost guarantees a lounge chair and umbrella, regardless of when you arrive in the morning. We are asking to determine if we should schedule a super early breakfast or because we have these reservations we can take a bit more time to eat first and then head to the island. Any thoughts?
  12. I just found an FAQ from RCL indicating that the app does not support tablets. I guess you can download the Cruise Compass in PDF format and review it on the tablet instead of panning and zooming on your phone.
  13. I have not seen the list indicating that devices have been blacklisted. Can you point to it?
  14. With the Cruise Compass now going exclusively digital, I am wondering if the app and the daily compass format is more adaptable in a tablet format. Has anyone had experience using a tablet as the primary device over a phone?
  15. I have purchased a 3-day deluxe dining package that requires us to select a premium restaurant on the first night. We were looking to use the package for the Izumi Hibachi dining but we are not able to reserve a reasonable time in advance. We are required to board as early as possible and then sprint for the restaurant to hopefully reserve a spot for the first night. My concern and my question is with the ability for individuals to make non-discount dining reservations now has anyone run into the issue of not being able to get a reservation because full-paying cruisers have filled the reservation spaces throughout the cruise for specific premium dining options? Would you advise canceling the 3-day dining package and just going ahead and reserve premium dining on an individual basis and on the days we prefer?
