I had the same issue paying my balance in Jan and earlier this week to buy some pre-cruise extras. In the end, I had to call to pay over the phone.

Hi, I read a review that mentioned smoking in the casino on Spectrum of the Seas was a problem. Is this true..? Is smoking indoors anywhere else permitted? In addition to finding it unpleasant, I have an eye condition that is triggered being around smoke. Thanks!

Is anyone else having problems at checkout on the RC website. I'm trying to buy some pre-cruise offers before the sale ends in 5 hours, but it's not accepting my credit card. (The credit card is fine!) I remember having this problem when my balance was due and ended uo paying over the phone using the same card. But the office is closed and won't reopen until after the sale. Anyone had similar problems?

Hi. Does RC require face masks are worn when boarding or disembarking and at ports of call? (I don't object, just want to be prepped.) Is it a set policy on all RC ships or country-specific? I'm sailing from Singapore, where I know the requirement to wear face masks on public transport was dropped on 13th Feb 2023.

@carole That's odd. Did they give a reason why you don't get this in Australia? (I'm not going there, just curious.)

What time can you have breakfast on disembarkation day with The Key?

I didn't use a TA - just looked up some local boat tours based in Phuket.

With the no set time to diaembark, how late can you have breakfast on the final day with They Key and how late can you disembark?

That's troubling, as I've booked a tour independently of RC. Maybe I need to think about buying The Key.

@Bowen Thanks for the info. Was the tender queue for non-Key holders long? Am I correct that you can't purchase The Key for individual days, only for the entire cruise?

I'm eager to maximise my time in port - especially in Phuket, which involves a tender docking. One of the benefits listed for The Key is priority departure at tender ports of call from ship-to-shore, but how much differrnce does it actually make? For an 8am arrival for the ship to Phuket, what time would you estimate I could get to shore with and without The Key? Thanks!

I'll be sailing for St Patrick's Day. Is this celebrated on Spectrum, with Irish music and dancing? I've read St Patrick's Day has become a popular celebration in Singapore and Asia in general. Has anyone had experirnce of St Patrick's day on previous cruises in Asia? Thanks!

I know you can buy VOOM wifi packages, but is this just if you want high-speed/reliable wifi? I only want to get updates on the Royal Caribbean app and make/modify bookings etc, nothing more. Is there free basic wifi to do this without buying VOOM? It seems a shame to waste money on wifi when I'm more than happy to disconnect while I'm on holiday!

I'm hoping Royal Caribbean staff might keep taps on what is said in the forum on the lookout for good ideas for experiences to add to their cruises. Or is there a formal mechanism for making requests/suggestions? I can't imagine customer service would have the time to look into such matters.

@stevendom57 I didn't know there is an American version, but it doesn't look like the differences are huge. I was taught to play as a child, but haven't played in years as it isn't well-known in the UK. I think I just need a quick refresher to enjoy a proper game. I take it you're not on Spectrum of the Seas in March? I'd happily play Mahjong with your wife!
