Your local bank might be able to help you out, if not most international airports in the US have a foreign currency exchange for you to exchange dollars for euros.

Secondly I would not use a debit card in a foreign country at all even at an ATM. So if you're not going to exchange your dollars for euros before you go then I would suggest you simply use a credit card.

What I have done is open a second checking account just for this purpose. Having an ATM card tie to a second checking only and transfer money into the travel checking account when necessary to withdraw money outside of the country. Even if the card is cloned, the loss would be minimal if you transfer just enough money into the account as necessary for your withdraw that day.

Weird question. We just got off Oasis 2 weeks ago and loved out 9th deck boardwalk balcony. About to book again for October and see the very last rooms on deck 9 AND 11,  closest to the back\aqua theater are open. I think we want to grab one of these because the last one was toward the other end, right near the middle of the ship, which was great...but thinking being right at the back would be cool, almost like an aqua theater suit without the price (or amenities).  My only very simple question...would it be better on 9 or 11, they are both available. We liked 9 because having music hall down the hallway was a nice little spot for our night caps without going far. But wondering if the view would be better on 11 to see over the theatre and get a nice ocean view, too. I know...I'm being picky, but hey...figured I'd ask before I call!

Just came off the Harmony in suite 9329, it has an obstructed view to the aqua theater. The slide will block about 1/4 of your view to the aqua theater.

We love RC for our family of 5, 3 children ranging from 9 to 14. We booked a cruise for next year and saw that there will be a very large group on the ship (Oasis) called Atlantis. They specialize in Gay men’s travel. From the pictures, it looks like one huge party!  Has anyone been on a cruise with this group and know if it would be family friendly?

If and when the charter contract is finalized, RC will cancel your reservation. Atlantis only allow adults on their charters so you don't have to worry whether it is family friendly.

    Hi,

I have received a really big run around between some travel agents and amex for a RCL cruise.  I’ve been told that if I pay for a cruise in full with my amex platinum card that I could receive amex cruise privileges benefits with a $200 obc  for a balcony or above. I booked with a very large agency but they claim to have no idea what I am talking about.

supposdely from what I’ve been told all an agent needs to do is get a code from Amex after authorization and have it applied to my booking. Do you know if any agent can indeed do this and if so who they need to call or ask for at amex to generate the platinum discount authorization code?

Does the agent have to be affiliated with Amex or have a relationship with Amex?  I’ve heard of people using both small and large agents who have booked with their platinum card and have not had an issue with redeeming the Amex cruise privileges benefits.  I find it strange such a large agency either doesn’t know what I’m referring to or is unable to help.

if the agency is unfamiliar with this, is there anyone at Amex i or they can call to receive an authorization code to be added to my booking?

    thanks so much.

You will have to book through Amex
