I have Excel spreadsheets for the cruise that has cost breakdown, gratuities, confirmations, room numbers and other things I think are important.  We sail with family a lot and I do the planning. I can send them updates and payment due date information. They track their own excursions and other things.
 

I think you'll enjoy Radiance class ships.  They have fewer toys than most Royal ships.  Therefore, they attract an older crowd and feel much more like Celebrity.

should you try it - absolutely
will you enjoy it - that will depend on what you like most about Royal.   if you are in to the flowrider, rock climbing and water slides you might not.  if you are in to food, relaxation and good service you will.

While I agree that the offers are generous; overbooking a cruise ship is just really unacceptable.  Any junior high computer geek could write a program that would disallow multiple parties booked in the same cabin, or booking numbers to exceed a pre set number.  Just really an embarrassing situation for the Royal IT department (again)
