It was open on my Jan sailing, staffing issues could have it currently closed, but I believe you have to book on board.

Initially you need to watch the safety video and weighed. They give you a wrist band. If you keep the wristband on, you can just turn up and have a jump. I went a few times at various times and they just checked the wristband which indicates your weight so they can put on the correct elastic bands and off I went. I loved the VR and had a ball doing it.
