  1. It’s a great show. Lot’s of stuff that’s not just “how did they do that on a cruise ship?!” but also just “how did they do that?!” Like the zero G stuff, no wires visible at all. Really cool stuff. Without spoiling anything, the 3D/interactive vibe of the show is really awesome!
  2. Yes, it is from “Flight.” I saw it on Symphony. Really awesome show!
  3. I noticed these blueprints as well. In the second picture, it looks like the bridge. Then there is something in front of it. Almost looks like a pool, which is weird.
  4. I am as well. It will be interesting if the dome is something new or just a redesign of the solarium.
  5. 1st image: We can now see an *official* small glimpse at what the front of the ship will look like! 2nd image: This is a screen grab from 4:34 in the new “Making an Icon” video series by Royal Caribbean on YouTube. It caught my eye because it looks like some sort of theater space, possibly something like the AquaTheater because of all the little holes.
  6. I hope that it does have a traditional one. It’s one of my favorite spaces on the ship. Especially on Oasis class
  7. Actually, believe it or not, the new flatter bow design is more efficient
  8. New update of what Icon will look like, courtesy of @loyal.to.royal on Instagram
  9. I love the Voyager and Freedom class. Sure they will be small next to an Oasis class ship, but everything would be. Voyager and Freedom class ships are still among the largest ships to date. I do agree with you about the room situation though. The greens and pinks thing that they have going on in the rooms on the older ship are totally out of style and I’m really surprised that they didn’t at least update the carpet and curtains during the amplifications. Sure it would cost a lot more, but so what?
  10. Ah ok, that was Enchantment of the Seas. The smaller/older ships have a certain charm for a lot of people but I’m not a fan either. I just got off Symphony of the Seas a couple weeks ago and it was amazing. I have done many other Royal cruises on Voyager and Freedom Class ships, and Oasis class is definitely the way to go for someone who feels claustrophobic. There is so much space and so many things to do/places to eat. The Freedom class is not bad either. Still a huge ship, especially compared to Enchantment of the Seas. I hope you can work it out! You won’t be disappointed and your husband might find himself pleasantly surprised!
  11. We had two days that were pretty rocky but nothing that we haven’t experienced before. It closed around the same time every night, rough seas or not.
  12. I think this is what I am recalling. I was a lot younger than I am now (just turned 18 on the Symphony sailing in question), but I feel like you’re right. I think they had only a specific part open.
  13. To clarify: I know that the Windjammer has never completely been 24 hours, that’s why I put “24 hours” in quotation marks. I just seem to remember it being open a little bit later than it currently is. When I say 24 hours, I just mean open during most of the time that people are awake.
  14. Hey!!! It’s twangster! I’m new to the message boards here but I love your YouTube channel! And yeah, I knew that Wonder was designed for China, I just thought that they could’ve possibly made a last minute change but maybe not.
  15. Weird. For some reason I feel like I remember being able to eat in the windjammer at a relatively late time of night, like 10 or 11. My last cruise was a couple years ago on Freedom.
  16. Yep. Been a while since I’ve cruised. We’ve only ever cruise on Royal Caribbean and have done 8 or 9 with them. Last cruise was pre covid.
  17. Don’t mean to sound rude, but what do you consider small? Voyager and Freedom class? Radiance Class? Vision class? And have you been on Voyager or Freedom class since they have been amplified? They are incredible ships with a lot to do.
  18. Don’t know if you’re much of a FlowRider(er?), but it’s one of my favorite activities onboard. Just got off Symphony about a week ago and the lines were considerably long most days, even with two FlowRiders. My question is: Is the single FlowRider much more crowded? I feel like it was a terrible idea for Royal to ditch the two FlowRiders in order to put in a playground that most of the kids don’t seem to be having fun with. Thanks!
  19. My family and I recently cruised onboard Symphony of the Seas from March 26th-April 2nd, 2022. This is our first cruise post-COVID and we were shocked to see many changes that we did not know about beforehand. A big example of one of these changes is the Windjammer closing throughout the day. It seems that the wind jammer was only open for breakfast and dinner while onboard, and it was closed between the times of 1:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M., and 9:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M. This is very odd as the Windjammer is supposed to be the “24 hour” buffet where you can get what you want at pretty much any time. It made us kind of sad that we were not able to grab a late night snack or a quick lunch in the Windjammer as it’s one of the classic spots onboard that we enjoy. Anyone know why this is STILL going on even after things have sort of returned to normal?
  20. Yes! It was very odd. We felt that it cut our day so short. Even the cruise compass said that the pools would be open until around 9 but they were closed even earlier than that. The beach pool was occasionally open until 9 but even that’s not very late. The cantilevered hot tubs and even the solarium pool and hot tubs were also closed! It was probably one of the most disappointing things about our cruise, and we’re no strangers to Royal Caribbean.
  21. I recently sailed on Symphony of the Seas on the March 26th-April 2nd, 2022 sailing from Port Miami to the Western Caribbean, and one of my main complaints is the how early the pools closed! Does any one know why this is happening? Is it because of a shortage of lifeguards? My family has taken many Royal Caribbean cruises over the years and I loved being able to sit in the pool or hot tub after dinner and watch movies on the pool deck under the stars. Unfortunately, cruising with my grandfather gave us only one option when it came to dining time (5:30, a.k.a. Senior citizen dining hour) and we always felt like we were cutting our day so short because we had to start getting ready for dinner at about 4:45, then when we came out of dinner around 6:45-7:15 (depending on the night), the pools were all closed! If anyone knows, please tell me! Thanks guys!
  22. I just got off Symphony last week and there were no WOW Bands given to me or any members of my family. I also did not see any other passengers wearing them so I believe they are yet to return to service after COVID. Enjoy your cruise on Symphony! She is wonderful!
