Agree. January 2020 there were 8' - 10' rollers crashing into the ships docked at the pier. Had we been trying to dock at that time, our ship would probably have had to skip Costa Maya.

Rough seas is not an uncommon reason for not being able to dock. Costa Maya's dock is quite rough since it's open ocean (unlike Cozumel which is in a channel)
