Andy of the Seas got a reaction from SemperMom in New protocols today
Just received; sailing tomorrow on Symphony.
Updated mask protocols for departures through January 5, 2022
With the recent uptick of COVID-19 in the world and added Omicron variant concerns, we feel it prudent to temporarily tighten our onboard health protocols to require masks indoors at all times, unless actively eating or drinking. This new update also applies to vaccinated areas and venues.

We're sorry for any disappointment that this may cause, but hope you understand that health and safety come first. Despite the new requirement, we know you will still have a great time onboard.

For full protocol details, please click here. As always, health and safety protocols are subject to change.

If you have questions about these protocols, please reference our FAQs for details or contact us at 1 (866) 562-7625or 541-285-9150 for assistance. If you prefer to not sail as a result of this change or would like to reschedule your cruise, we are glad to assist. Looking forward to seeing you onboard!

Have you tried it with ginger beer? It's quite good that way, too.

Andy of the Seas got a reaction from fmzsep12 in Pre-cruise COVID testing, Fort Lauderdale
I agree with others recommending at-home testing.  The good news is that depending on your insurance provider, you may be able get these for free.  I've submitted claims for the Optum BINAX at-home proctored tests and had them reimbursed fully ($200+ for 6 BINAX proctored tests).  If your provider has a test ordering program set up these tests may not qualify and you may be capped at $12 per test.  However, my provider does not have a program in place and allows me to submit a claim for outside purchases at cost so long as they were FDA approved at-home tests.
    CMS.gov's website FAQ's were very helpful:  https://www.cms.gov/how-to-get-your-at-home-OTC-COVID-19-test-for-free  (especially Q#3).
    Thanks,
    Andy
