I clicked through a bunch and tried a search or two but didn’t find a clear answer.  We’re trying to figure out how close to the June 19th sail date RC can get before canceling. Recently it seems they are one month at a time and announce with about 45 days before the start of the month.  They have canceled though May 31st so may be mid April they’d announce June cancels...?

Would you agree that’s likely what we’re looking at?  It would be a bit challenging for us to plan to be on vacation with less than a few weeks notice.  Our jobs require several weeks notice to take a week off.  We REALLY want this cruise to happen, but doubt it will.  If we take the time off and they cancel we are stuck home with no plans... just trying to figure out how to play this!

Our May 16th was canceled on March 9th

Between the multiple cruises canceled, iffy FCC amounts, numerous invoices that never match, I am not sure what is correct anymore.  I am at the mercy of RC and whoever answers my call to figure it out.

I went to make final payment and was first told it was paid in full. Then put on hold and told I owe $250, but my last invoice says I owe $90.  None of my itemizations match from invoice to invoice.

I'm normally good with tracking spending and payments on my life but I'm so turned around with this whole experience.  And when they cancel this cruise soon, they couldn't tell me what FCC or cash refunds I would get back.

Anyone else in the same boat?

I've spoken to 4 reps who gave me 4 different answers. I keep calling because I'm doubting things are being processed. A few days ago the rep finally processed the right amount. I call back today to double check and now it's off by $400. They can't send me an email to break down what's coming back to us. I feel like their system is so antiquated.

Not sure what the exact issue is but when you call for issues regarding Refunds/FCC's you must have all of your booking numbers handy before you call so they can track everything by that specific booking number. I've had 10 cruises cancelled this past year and it can be very frustrating but if you have your ducks in a row its usually a lot easier.

I had all the information they needed.

  4. How can 4 different reps give me 4 different answers as to my refund from two cancelled cruises??? Also why is RC unable to provide a Cancellation/Confirmation number to refer to when calling to check? Also a company this large is also unable to send an email after a phone chat?? Nothing about this sits right with me and it's beyond frustrating.
