Hi Guys,
Not long now until my next cruise, it is my first as Diamond status and I was wondering if anybody could help me please.
We usually do 2 nights in Chops Grille then 1 in another specialty restaurant. With me and my partner being Diamond do you get buy one get one free on the first night in Chops? I seem to recall on previous cruises my in-laws who are D+ using this offer on the first night then buying a package for the other 2 nights ?
I am just trying to work out costs, is it worth buying the 3 night dining package now or the 2 and do the buy one get one free whilst on-board.
Thanks

I've had a good deal of luck by sending direct messages to RC via Twitter. Very responsive. Odd that they have not gotten back to the OP. Maybe it's the sensitive nature of the inquiry.
Yes perhaps they do not want to discuss a private matter over the public platform, they could though still acknowledge it.
Facebook messenger is much more private, that is why I always use that.

Hi guys,
We went on our first cruise December 2019 onboard the Anthem around the Caribbean, we absolutely loved it from the start and was soon planning our next one!
The only issue I have is that around half way though the cruise I was injured on an excursion and to be honest I am placing the blame on the tour operators. I voiced my concern on the ship and I must add that the crew were very helpful. My injury worsened after the cruise and I'm still receiving treatment for it. I emailed the post cruise team on 05/01/20 to customerrelationsuk@rccl.com and I'm still yet to receive a response. I forwarded this to the pre cruise team, got an automated response immediately and then 3 days later they advised that I had e-mailed the correct team and they will respond in due course. Do you think I should have had at least some response by now? To be honest the overall lack of response I've received currently makes me question if I really want use Royal going forward.
I look forward to getting advice from any of you knowledgeable guys!
Sorry to hear about your injury, the quickest way I have always got a reply is via royal Caribbean on Facebook messenger. They usually reply within minutes.

BREAKING NEWS
ABOUT YOUR UPCOMING TRAVELS
Dear Guest,
Before you get ready to join us onboard the Jewel of the Seas, we have an important itinerary change to share with you for our upcoming March 2nd sailing.
Last week, there was news of conflict in the Persian Gulf. Since then, we’ve been closely monitoring the area along with our Global Security and Intelligence Team. While it’s safe to visit the Arabian Gulf, out of an abundance of caution, we’ve decided to cancel our visit to Bahrain. Please know, we didn’t take this decision lightly. Instead, we’ll overnight in Abu Dhabi before making our way back to Dubai. We’re terribly sorry for this unexpected change. After some back and forth, we agreed this would be the best alternative to our original itinerary. We hope you’ll enjoy the extra time exploring everything Abu Dhabi has to offer! Below, please find our revised itinerary.

Full of immersive, educational, and historical experiences, Abu Dhabi offers endless ways for you to make good use of your extra time! While there, take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Emirates Palace – a five-star hotel that explores Abu Dhabi’s Arabian architecture, rich decor, and top-notch technology. Then, discover the largest mosque in United Arab Emirates, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. It spans over 30 acres and features pool-lined arcades, golden columns, sky-high minarets, and so much more! And, if you’re looking for adventure, Abu Dhabi has a multitude of thrilling activities to choose from like sand boarding or kayaking. Whatever you choose to do, we know you’ll love it!
Any pre-paid Royal Caribbean International shore excursions booked for Bahrain, will be refunded to your original form of payment. In the next few days, you’ll receive an email with your refund details. Then, feel free to browse all the exciting shore excursion options for your sailing in Cruise Planner!
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. We can’t wait to welcome you onboard soon!
Sincerely,
Having done Abu Dhabi a few times previously it looks like I'll be taking great advantage of the Deluxe Drinks package on this trip !
I presume the Feb sailings will have Bahrain cancelled also ?

Looking forward to my cruise on the 17th Feb now, hopefully with all these cancellations It should be a nice quiet relaxing cruise...

Has ANYONE ever won (or seen someone win) on the free "Spin to Win" slot machine? We always try, of course, but never win.
Never won a cent!

If you share the same address, you can call Crown & Anchor now and have her status applied to you as you are a significant other/domestic partner.
Ah i didn't know that thanks. I was waiting until we got married in feb then let them know on my honeymoon cruise.

This is just a one-time offer....not for every drink.
sorry, i should have typed my question a little clearer. That makes more sense. Deluxe drink package I think will need adding for our next cruise.
Does anybody know if you have diamond status if that gets you any additional discount from the package ?
I am emerald, the Mrs is diamond, once we are married in Feb I have been told I can take the same crown and anchor status as her.
I am logging in with my details at the moment, I just wondered if we used hers would this knock the price down a little ... (wishful thinking... ?)

with regards to the diamond offers. 'Buy one glass get one free - wine, beers and sodas' is this any time on top of your 3 free drinks during happy hour, how does it work ? thanks

I'll happily report after my Feb one how things are.

Hi, has anyone ever noticed RC doing special offers on drinks packages? Travel agent told me they often do BOGOF but I have checked everyday since booking last summer and the price varies from £43 to £46 but no less and never seen any special offers. Also anyone aware of a good hotel close to Southampton port to stay overnight pre cruise? TIA
I have done two sailings from Southampton and on both occasions booked the deluxe package before going, I seem to remember on board it was roughly £15 per person per day more. I just have a speadsheet loaded up and check it every other day a few months in the run up to the cruise. Usually though on the cruises i have picked the difference is usually £6 up or down..

Has anyone on this forum recently been on the Dubai sailing ? Things seemed to have quietened down ... i hope.

Deluxe drink package was incorrectly priced at $18/day for about a 5-6 hour period of time. Royal ultimately decided to honor the price.

I have just seen on Facebook group that military jets planes have just flown over the cruise ship
lets just say I don't think it was the red arrows display
Interesting pool side entertainment...
Is the facebook group a private one or is anyone free to have a look ?

I just had an update from Royal Caribbean
"We understand how worrying the situation in the Arabian Gulf is. However, we have not cancelled any Dubai sailings and are monitoring the situation very closely. If there is a change to your reservation you will be notified directly from us. As of right now you will still be going on your honeymoon" - Lucas

Just found this post on Facebook. I can't find the group it was posted on, I just searched for Royal Caribbean Dubai. There's no indication of where the person who posted it got the information from.
" Today Royal Caribbean are now cancelling cruises around Dubai... one woman from Newcastle has just had confirmation she's going in February"
Interesting. I'm due to go in February from Dubai, hopefully if true they contact me soon.
Did you find the dates this lady was informed it was cancelled on ?

Typically if Royal does completely cancel you get a full refund to your method of payment or sometimes they will also give you the choice of some price protected alternative cruises (meaning that if you locked in a great price on your category room you can rebook onto another sailing even if the current pricing is higher). They will sometimes offer a $200 flight change/fee reimbursement per person. If they end up sailing but with a modified itinerary it won't be a full refund.
Thanks for this info. I'll keep an eye on my emails from them. What's strange is I cannot login to my cruise planner at present.
I did recently bid on a Royal Upgrade so I wonder if something is updating in the background... Checking past emails though from when I have bid and been succesful I usually got the confirmation 15-21 days before the cruise. This though is a good 40 ish..

Thanks for the welcome.
Ill keep my eye on the news and hopefully RC keep me up to date with any potential cancellations as much as they do with the latest deals on new cruises!

*My First post - Hello All*
I'm booked on a Dubai sailing on the 17th February 2020. I have previously been on a RC Cruise from Dubai which visited Oman this itinerary though visits Bahrain, SIr Bani Yas, Doha..
At present I have no plans to cancel, I have friends working out in Dubai & Oman who have said ignore all the usual tabloids 'Daily fail/mail' etc. Everything is BAU just with increased security in and around the tourist hot spots. I will continue to monitor what the UK Gov post however I think if I went off what they / the BBC etc advise I would never have ticked off many destinations (Turkey, Russia, Egypt).
If RC do pull the cruise do we get a full refund or credit towards another cruise ? fortunately the previous cruises I have been on I have never experienced this. I really hope it does go ahead as It is my honeymoon... Im sailing the day after getting married.
