  1. Wait you get use them on other cruises not just the one you bought it on? That I didn't know and that makes it more appealing. Unfortunately Liberty is our next 3 cruises and WOW bands wouldn't work on her.
  2. Actually I was right. Not too bad a price I think. I was actually going to one last week on Anthem but never got around to it, just to see how it worked. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-are-royal-caribbean-wow-bands
  3. I thought they were 9.99 but I could be wrong. I thought so though.
  4. They were available last week on Anthem so I'd imagine they are on Symphony.
  5. Wow, that's freaking interesting. My TA is great, he does monitor prices. On a few cruises they automatically dropped. I didn't even check, didn't even know the price has dropped and there it was. An email elert of a price drop.
  6. We rarely use it too. I use the least, scared of heights. It's nice at times, and pulling into ports but overall we don't use it enough.
  7. Agree, actually moved from a balcony to this. With kids the extra room, full bath, walk in closet will be very nice. I think it was a good move.
  8. Yeah I guess it's just a strange thing with cabins that are scarce, only 4 of them and they sell quickly as far as I can tell. It's not a huge deal at all, just wondering if I was right that there is no way to reprice once sold out. We have this cabin category for the next 3 sailings actually, one and a back to back so 3. My wife counted the back to back as one. She correcta me when I call it 2.
  9. This all tells me it's book a junior suite or Sky Junior suite for the extra space and points but expect nothing else. That all stinks.
  10. Hmmm this is something I never thought of about repricing a cruise. We chose a kind of rare cabin on our Liberty cruise, its a "spacious promenade view" cabin, there are only 4 of them on the Freedom class ships. They are now all sold out on our cruise in October. There is no way for us to check the price but our TA monitors the price and automatically applies any drops. Once a cabin category sells out I guess there is no possibility of a drop? Just a curious question. We LOVE the cabin we booked.
  11. I'm still confused by this move from Anthem in the winter in NJ to Odyssey because of the pool situation. I know Odyssey is Quantum plus or whatever they call it but it just makes little sense here in the winter. Odyssey looks amazing and actually better than Anthem but still doesn't make sense in the winter months here. We were just on Anthem last week and that indoor pool was a life saver and perfect. It was fun to swim with it being freezing outside.
  12. I never sailed in a suite, well once but that was before there was a "coastal kitchen" but the crew on these ships are very understanding and they aren't stupid. I would bet they will allow this and I bet they find you a timeslot to eat even though in Junior suite. This isn't the crews first cruise, this is 100% not the first time they have encountered this scenario. I would go there immediately after boarding and explain the situation the Coastal kitchen staff. Good luck. I HATE that a junior suite is called a suite but treated like a second class citizen. They should remove the suite name altogether and name it something else.
  13. It's 2.6 miles from the terminal, just looked it up. That's doable for sure depending if you like to or can walk. We walked from the terminal to the aquarium and that was pretty far last October. And then on the way back torrential downpour. Oh well, fun memory.
  14. Definitely no excursions to Saleh as of now on my cruise but I'll be on the lookout. We are still 7 months away so I'm sure more will be added as well go here.
  15. I'm gonna wait till more excursions are loaded. We are still like 7 months out. What I would like to do is get to Salem especially because it's October. It's kinda their Xmas their. We went way back on our honeymoon cruise 2009 and it was so much fun. Congested yes but still fun, cool atmosphere. I don't see that excursion anymore though on the last few to Boston.
  16. I'm not worried about it. He was good, he followed directions. He had a deck chair with his stuff. He was in the indoor pool and was right where we left him. Admittedly the lunch was about an hour and half. I felt ok with it and it worked out. Thanks for the input, appreciate it.
  17. I will defend Royal Caribbean in this way. I won't totally let them off the hook but this has crossed my mind. There is a freaking lot, I mean a lot of waste, an absolute ton of food waste. No doubt a company like Royal wants to do things the cheapest way to save money but they might also think why put so much money into food if it's just wasted. By the way I'm one that looks the food still on Royal Caribbean cruises. It's hit or miss but what are you gonna do. I always find something good and I'm satisfied.
  18. I have an interesting question. Our son 10 loves to swim in the pool, be in the pool which Anthem was great for because of the indoor pool on the cold days. He is extremely respectful of others in the pool. Just kinda does his own thing and also we absolutely LOVE that Royal Caribbean has lifeguards at all times. It's just a very nice thing, and comforting thing. On day 7 we had the "taste of Royal" lunch which was actually fun. More fun than I thought, although I don't like steak and Fillet mignon was main course. Never time I will swap that out. I just hate steak, sorry. Anyway our 10 year old had no interest in that of course, I don't blame him. We left him at the pool, we said you don't leave the indoor pool are except to get ice cream right next door and right back to that area. Don't leave with anyone, don't leave at all except for the ice cream and be respectful of everyone. He was great and followed directions. Not a good idea or ok in your book? Just curious because the decision was already made obviously.
  19. Exactly, it's impossible to weed out every single bad apple. The cruise lines can't, the theme parks can't, just because of that scenario, never caught, never charged. Wolf in sheeps clothing.
  20. Yeah we have never ordered 3 and would feel really weird about doing that. How manu people do order 3 can't be much. Two I think it's reasonable at times.
  21. I didn't think of that, but yeah I guess if you truly don't like it you'll have to say I'm done and they'll bring you a second. It has to be the strangest policy I ever heard of. Now unfortunately the way I read Royal Caribbean is this is a first step in charging for a second entree. I hate to be that cynical but I have to go there.
  22. I don't know why but that is hilarious to me. So, so odd. Thanks for the info.
  23. I still find it very strange. Not sure why it would make a difference when they come out but not a huge deal, just odd. I'll keep that in mind that we will tell them we sharing. See if that works. I just find the whole thing so strange.
  24. That has got to be the strangest policy I ever heard of. I thought the way the server started talking that they were charging for it but that wasn't the case, just delayed. That is an odd one that I didn't know about. Thanks for the info.
  25. I forgot to ask this since we have been back off Anthem on Sunday. We have been on many, many cruises now almost all on Royal Caribbean. This is not a huge deal, we just thought it was strange, very strange. We have ordered at times because e didn't know if we would like one dish over another so we not order 2. On Anthem last week we did this one night, and they said as a company rule we can't bring the second dish out till you finish the first dish. I don't ever remember that and found that policy extremely odd. Is this something new? Is it just an Anthem thing?
