    Hello,

I know your post is from June, but hopefully this will help if you do see it ?

I will be on HOS in 2020 too.  I just found the menus here:  MDR menus

They are from delirium 98 (thank you).  I also read the menus are the same fleet wide - they are subject to change.

Also, I went on the app (as other members mentioned here) and picked a similar sailing for HOS with a closer sailing date (pick one in August), and you can see the menus as well.

    Getting hungry ?

    Thanks

Costa Maya has the pool and chairs as shown above although they are no longer "free". You have to purchase a drink or food to be able to use the pool chairs. Not an issue with my group.

Oh really, thats a shame as we was going to get off and use the pool but we aren't day drinkers and wont be interested in buying drinks and wont be buying food when can get all the food we want on ship!

Solarium Bistro on Harmony for dinner was a combination of buffet & menu options and totally worth your time. After horrible food in the MDR, we ate at Coastal Kitchen, specialty restaurants, and Solarium Bistro.

Horrible food in the MDR? Really what was wrong if you don't mind me asking?

Hi levy1980, yep we sure did. HOTS arrived, i think at 8 , we were in by 10am. We had a Chill Island Cabana , checked into that & then four of us did 3 waterslides & were done by Noon. Thrill water park had large painted picnic tables with huge umbrellas, we set that as a home base in that part. Got too kiddie crowded & i had heard that food was only served till 1 or 130... we had no clocks on us..so headed for food and cabana / clamshell lounger & floating bar time. The longest waiting line for slides was the i guess i call it family round tube. It was a four person, no more than i think 500 pounds total. There was a scale we all jumped on to tell if we could fit, could not so had to break up into two round rafts. There was a total of three lines going up at the same time. Ask before you get too far  into the wrong line. Far left line, hold nothing since your round tube is at the top. Middle line was long flat slide rafts you grab from bottom & trek upto top. Far right was double donuts rafts, you grab from bottom & drag up to top.

Thanks for info, I was wondering how crowded it gets! Don't want to be waiting in lines all day as want to go do some snorkeling and will be a bit disappointed if we only manage 3 rides!

Was thinking of snorkeling in the morning grabbing lunch and then going to the water park but maybe thats not the best idea!

Hello, we were just at CocoCay on Monday. Best price for Thrill Waterpark was $40 per person full day ( the first week it was open was at that price) then price immediately went up to $129 stayed that until our cruise & SOLD OUT a few days before. Our friend tried to get passes day of, & could not. Only one ship HOTS was there.

Thanks, Did you go into water park?

  6. Just wondered if they show movies on big screens anywhere? And if so are they family movies?  Just thinking after dinner and watching show what we can do after? Wont be going to the casino or the bars as have 9 year old with us and he wont be going kids clubs.

Did have had a look through old cruise compass but cannot see anything on there!

On most ships, it is a set price of $9.95 + 18% service charge per person.  You don't make reservations as it is first come, first seated.  You can order whatever you want off the menu.  Milkshakes are not included in your cover charge unless you have the Refreshment or Deluxe drink packages.

If you are on Oasis Class they have free breakfast.

On Anthem and Navigator Johnny Rockets is ala carte so you only pay for what you eat.

Thanks very helpful info, I wish RC made information so easy to find!

We are on Harmony and I have read they do breakfast which is good as another option!

As of late, it is going to depend on the ship. The setup had always been that appetizers and desserts were buffet style, while entrees were off a menu and served. But last month on Symphony everything was buffet style

We found that out beforehand and cancelled our reservation...just was not in the mood for buffet that night.

Thats my worry, we are not that keen on buffet but would go if the main was served.

Was there a charge for dinner?

They are open for all meals but dinner reservations are suggested.

It is a hybrid buffet/menu.  Entrees come from a menu but everything else is done buffet style.

    Thanks

So is the menu the same for all meals? I searched and could only find 1 menu
