Basically getting back 6 of the 8 nights and still get to be aboard. Limited yes but better than sitting in 30 degree weather...

News reporting Odessy being blocked from dock at Curacao? Then I saw a couple posts that said it was at dock but people not being let off? That was a couple hours ago. Can't find that thread again on social media. Anyone got any up to date info?

I have spent the last couple hours watching the drama. On one of my groups I belong to , a poster came in and claimed they were cancelling everything and that no bookings were available thriugh Jan 10. I did a mock book. A number of us called and the answer was that they are not accepting new bookings through then but there are NO CANCELLATIONS.... I verified on my own calls as well. I did a mock book attempt and the two sailings shown above are indeed showing but not sure who would go $2000 deep per person for a week on Freedom... So it appears a lot of miscommunication and jumpy nerves in play here... Something I saw and still see as a little "different" is that they flooded one of my salings people for a March sailing on Anthem with Royal Up offers... I usually get them much closer to sailing time.

I was thinking along these lines today. 6500 in my town.... a light load on an Oasis class. 1000 have had it. 200 positive tests this week. Thats one in 5 who have dealt with it. On ships its one in 500 testing hot recently. I'll take the ship... Omicron from all that I have read and heard from people in the field is very contagious but really one of the weakest strains to date. CDC closely monitoring confirmed cases has only one of 43 requiring a hospital. The ones yesterday on SOTS are all asymptomatic. Even in South Africa where Omicron evolved from, hospitalizations are DOWN 29% from where they were with far smaller "numbers" of other variants including Delta... So who knows for sure? It seems though Omicron is a far gentler strain than others... "The CDC on Friday said one vaccinated person has been hospitalized with omicron, but no deaths have been reported among the 43 patients that have been followed up on. The most common symptoms so far are cough, fatigue, congestion and a runny nose. Among those patients, 58% were between the ages of 18 and 39 years of age and 79% were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before symptom onset or testing positive".

Check in takes place then you board... That time of day your cabin should be "ready". Your "Keys/ sea passes" will be right by the door.... Teen clubs are the best in the industry. My natural daughter and Fiance's kids have all thoroughly loved the clubs and stayed till the wee hour not wanting to leave every nght. They really know how to draw the teens from ther shells and make them all stars! The on board credit can be used like cash on board. Games, casino, shopping...

This most recent round was "error". Still waiting for promised "fix" which was supposed to be overnight.... Still have no clue what the re re re issued FCCs are.

Lots about FCC to dislike. Never mind the horrendous bookkeeping. They issue to the guest. Not the one who paid for it. Even when the guest is a minor its a nightmare to reapply. They recently called my fiance' at work and her kid at school to apply " their " FCC toward a new cruise. Then instead of applying it they simply reissued and required a second round orf "permissions". They almost did it again and I got a supervisor to fix in about ten seconds...

They frequently start spewing numbers can only consider random. Then like this email, I get some outdated by several months or completely off target... Usually they are good about taxes and fees and completely botched this. That and cancelled cruise planner purchases ...

I could use a sedative about now...2 hour call... The FCC's were issued in error. They had missed my taxes and fees and cruise planner stuff all together? That will be sent back to original form of payment. Theres still a few hundred going back on FCC that nobody can seem to explain , at least in English...

Not sure.. I just got FCC instead of refund for taxes and fees . I was expecting ut to be returned to form of payment and am getting nowhere on the fix???? If I figure it out I'll let you know. If you find anything let me know.

Yeah Yeah Yeah... I know? Another one? Yup...... I thought I was done with FCC but just received 4 new ones??? It Appears to be in the amoint of port fees and taxes from a cancelled cruise???? I thought fees and taxes were refunded to method of payment? Pretty sure thats what I was told on the phone... Especially since they can't be used for taxes and fees payment? Maybe some one knows if this is standard practice or if I need to light them up again with phone calls... Any info or experience? PS- Two of them in minors names that wount be travelling with us any longer after this year. Does that complicate things?

Just had to miss a Symphony cruise... Fiance's kids lost their paternal grandmother and needed to deal with those family obligations... . I did a rebook and it went "ok".... They had a tough time gathering up all my FCC info , each time well short of what the numbers should be. Then their math was way off in a few places but two marathon calls it finally got right... In all it was a little work but not too bad. Similar ship (Oasis class), same itinerary in reverse... Not a lot of cash involved except for port fees and taxes which had to be refunded back then paid again...

Yes I like to do my homework. I didn't know it was on the app so thats why I asked? Now I know... I am detail oriented. Don't like it when I don't have all my ducks in a row. I'm responsible for two teens who have never been on a cruise, one that has only been on one... "Why? Really is nobodies business but I'm happy to offer an explanation. Among my jobs is giving big bgame fishing seminars. The first thing I point out is that there is no such thing as a dumb question if you don't know the answer. I never whiz on someone for not knowing and appreciate when they do choose to better themselves by asking. What I notice is they ften ask a question others wanted to know the answer to but were too afraid to ask.
