Another thread on this site (Allure of the seas - Central Park Restoration) was also mentioning the condition of Central Park.  There they mentioned that crew members have been already pruning the dead material back.  They also mentioned waiting until Spring to replace the trees. 

Trees are coming back slowly.  I talk with the head gardener almost every morning.  In the 2 weeks I'm now on I can see marked improvement in many trees.  Dont expect it to return fast though, trees lush in maybe a year, those will not be replaced.  Some smaller plant are on order, when they arrive is anyones guess.

A good portion of the plants were killed off by a freeze.   I have heard that they plan on starting to replace them in March,  but I don't know that for a fact.  I hope they are able to get it back to it's previous beauty soon.    We sail on her in June.
