The numbers after each status level are the number of passengers on board the ship who achieved that status, not the points to reach the status. To actually get to pinnacle requires 750 points; at one point per night (two when you stay in a suite or cruise solo, and three if you stay in a suite and cruise solo) it takes a long time to get to Pinnacle status. Very few actually get to that level.

Reaching Pinnacle status gets you a ton of perks, and the crew more or less treats you like royalty when you sail on their ship.

Full details on the benefits for each tier of Royal's Crown & Anchor program can be found at this page linked from their site. General info about the program can be found at this other page.

LOL   OK Thanks  guess I read that backwards as I see I'm at Gold status already on my RC profile page.

  2. Here's what I just did as I hadn't been on a cruise in awhile but just booked one last month for 1/27 on the Allure. First I decided I didn't want to do the Eastern Caribbean again as I'll always went that route so I decided to look at Western. My preference is always go BIG so I looked at all the Oasis class ships & their itinerary to make my choice. But as I'm not an experienced cruiser as most here I'll defer to them but Harmony or Symphony would be my choice.

  3. Going on Allure in 3 weeks & hope the food is good as this was one of the reasons I went with RC over Carnival this time. Haven't been on a cruise in awhile (last was with Carnival) & didn't enjoy it as much as I did my previous RC cruise. I usually due MDR for dinner & than elsewhere for breakfast & lunch.

As of today, there is no messaging option available. It's being tested on Allure, but otherwise non-existent. It will debut later this year, so remains to be seen.

Having played with the app on Symphony, I can totally see the real potential of the app when you have a lot of functionality behind it.  Certainly makes the paper compass far less important.  If nothing else, embarkation day is super simple with the app.

So does the App work on Allure as I'm sailing 1/27? I downloaded it & was hoping to be able to message others in my party using it.

@JLMoran is right. Latest price for package on Allure end of January sailing is $ 41 ($55 CAD). No special sale or deals

So you are break even after  three drinks (not mentioning wine,  fresh juices, specialties coffees, pops, bottled water etc)

What date do you sail? I'm on the 1/27 cruise & I paid $42 which is what it currently is at.
