  1. I was confused over this picture, the virtual balcony screen looks so realistic I wasn't sure if this is an outside stateroom or a shot from your hotel! The layout doesn't look like the familiar ship cabins.
  2. Very pretty. Was the tender boat between the ship and port free of charge?
  3. One thing I forgot to mention, you seem to do your research very well before each port while preparing this blog. It's very informative and truly feels like a free virtual shore excursion ?
  4. Who in his right mind would market chocolate like that ?! Saint John has many other sights , but going to the reversing river was very well worth it! I am still following this blog and enjoying every bit of it.
  5. Indeed! I actually loved the stats. Is there a way to find out these Top Tier numbers and top cruiser on any cruise?
  6. I tried specialty restaurants once and couldn't get used to it. Dim lighting and small portions. Even MDR wasn't my thing. I try to be less formal on a cruise because that's the main point behind a vacation. When I was on Adventure last year on my South Caribbean cruise, people used to takeout their Windjammer dinner and go sit on the deck to watch the movie while eating. I loved that experience , so relaxing ?
  7. The app was indeed updated, Day 5 is now marked as "At Sea" instead of Sydney. Not sure about the schedule, though.
  8. Would there be any change in activities and scheduled programs on the ship because of skipping Sydney?
  9. From my experience, I recall the rocking is much slower than a train ride or bumpy air. I used to get little seasick only during the first night/morning, but I get used to it quickly and the cruise feels great for the rest of the week. And yes sleeping is the best part of it! Best sleep ever!
  10. Day 4 in Charlottetown tomorrow looking rainy and colder than Quebec City. Bummer. Wondering what this city has to offer.
  11. This reminds me, I need to download the app and follow the daily activities on my phone. For those who can handle the temperature, the deck is very pleasant to walk around.
  12. The food is indeed delicious! I'm interested in ice skating. Do they usually open the rink for public skating during sea days?
  13. @twangster Cruising with them is more to my liking, though. More mature and quiet. And if all of them are getting packed in the diamond lounge then I will have more of the ship to myself ? Loved the sail away and the mist, so peaceful and unlike any of my previous 3 cruises.
  14. I joined this blog just to follow and comment on your journey and say Thank You for this amazing presentation! This is my dream cruise, and what makes it more thrilling is the encounter with Hurricane Michael in the coming days ? Really looking forward to how that will go. Those diamonds will get one hell of a ride as I see them sitting there bored and joyless during the muster drill ?
