Stay with the port parking @ $20. It is safe in the parking garage. Just a few steps you are at cruise check-in line. We arrived at the port around 10:15 am then dropped off our luggage, short drive to the port parking garage then walked a few minutes to the security line to check our carry on bags. Checked in with RC. We were onboard Anthem OTS around 11 am and sipping our first drink.

    Is that $20 a day?    So $160 for a 7 night cruise?

  2. My cruise is in April, 2019.  I have been watching drink packages and shore excursions.   After seeing numerous posts about buying a drink package at a good rate, then possibly canceling and buying again at a better rate, I booked the drink package at BOGO 1/2 off.  The cost still was over $800 which I dont mind paying because I will use it.   So I am still watching the price and I see the purchased one on my cruise planner.   IF the price goes down, how difficult is it to rebook and how do you go about it?   I dont find the website very friendly and am afraid that I will  miss out on a better deal because I will not be able to book the new price.   IF I see a better price, do I just cancel the purchased one and rebook immediately?  Will the website allow me to do that?   THANKS!

  3. My first cruise on Royal Caribbean is not until April. I have been watching the price on the deluxe beverage package. Every time I checked, it has been showing around $52 a day. This morning I logged in and it came up as buy one, get one 50% off. So I said wow, that’s a great deal I’ll book it now. Then when I went to book, the total price still came out to over $800, for 2  people, for the eight day cruise. What did they do, jack up the price, that offer it as a discount? Here I thought it would be around $600 and it still coming out to the same price that I have seen, before the supposed buy one get one 50% off sale.......?..

  4. I just spoke with my pharmacist and doctors office.  There IS a generic and THAT is what is not available.   My pharmacist does have the regular one in stock and said that it is not on back order anymore.  I live in New Jersey about an hour south of New York City)     The problem is that most insurance will not pay for the regular because of the generic being out there.and that the regular is expensive.   I am waiting to hear back from the pharmacy to see if my insurance will cover it.     I know they did 2 years ago.

  5. I suffer horrible motion sickness and for years refused to go on a cruise because of it.   I finally bit the bullet two years ago and tried a cruise for the first time.   I had scopolamine patch behind my ear, motion bands on my wrists and use one half of a Bonine tablet the first two days.   By the third day I was feeling fine and the ear patch was coming off, so I never put a new one on.    Didn't use Bonine again and just kept my wrist bands on.   I was so pleasantly surprised that I felt no motion sicknes at all.

The cruise was all I had hoped for as far as not being sick, so I am going on another one!

  6. Speaking of drink packages, has anyone ever heard of a person being able to buy the package, while their spouse, in the same cabin does not.   One couple traveling with us is a wife who enjoys the full package, while the husband simply does not drink alcohol at all.  Is there ever any exception, perhaps if the non drinking spouse obtains some sort of medical note or something.   A doctors note due to health reasons??????   I highly doubt it, but I told them I would ask here.   THANKS!

  7. The only other cruise I have been on was a Celebrity where our cabin steward provided the pool towels in our room and refreshed them daily.   From what I have rad about RCCL you have to get your towels from the pool area.   IS that the only place to get them and do they only give you one per person?

Also, are they very strict about lounge chair saving?  Particularly in the Solarium.    I have been watching videos and see a lot of lounge chairs with towels over them, no one sitting there and the place looks empty.

    Thanks!

  8. Is there any way to find out the times of the entertainment on my cruise which isnt until April 2019?   (Anthem 4-6-19)  I have found a link with an old compass which gives the times but how will I know if they will be the same?   I am trying to coordinate dinner times and not miss out on shows.

  9. Are you able to bring your own snorkeling equipment and snorkel at Coco Cay in the area to see:

" the sunken plane wrecks, an artificial shipwreck reef and cannons which have become homes to a wide variety of aquatic creatures. The diverse snorkeling area also includes a deep water area where you can take a plunge down to a breathtaking reef." ZC06

as shown on the shore excursion page, or are you only allowed in this area if you buy the all day snorkel package?
