  1. Can someone tell me where these are on Indy? Laser tag Escape room Cafe Promenade
  2. Can someone explain the difference between them? Is it just bandwidth? My teen is asking ?
  3. Yup, that second test for the unvaccinated one seems like it would preclude HAVING to do one 3 days earlier. Seriously.
  4. Just FYI... the option to "Book a COVID-19" test through myrx is only available to NY State residents ?
  5. OK confirmed that email went out regardless of whether the email recipient is vaccinated or unvaccinated. Bottom line: everyone on this sailing has to arrive with a negative test that was taken no more than 3 days beforehand... AND those who are unvaccinated also have to take a test onsite on boarding day.
  6. We are all linked (4 people, two reservations) but their names aren't on my email. Just mine. All 4 of us are fully vaccinated. Seems like this is a blanket CYA email from RC, but I'm not taking any chances. On hold for 56 minutes now.
  7. @MattYeah I mean... that makes sense, but at this point I want to talk to someone at RC to confirm. All four of us on the two reservations/cabins I set up are linked, but we are all fully vaccinated. There is another reservation for two more travelling "with us" (but not linked) which include a 10 year old, so I need to find out if the 10YO can take the test 3 days beforehand, or if his only option is at the terminal (as was originally communicated).
  8. I'm on hold with RC because this is really confusing. I got an email which reads: Then below that it has MY name, and a unique reference ID code for me to register to take a PCR at the terminal on boarding day. Thing is, I'm fully vaccinated. So uh... is this required for me or not? There are 3 other folks on two reservations I coordinated, and all 4 of us are fully vaccinated, so I have no idea why this was sent to me, but it's concerning because it indicates I *must* do this on embarkation day. Help?
  9. Well the other dad brought his daughter in to get her first dose of Pfizer, so... looks like the cruise experience will proceed! This will be their first cruise, too ? My daughter got first dose today as well.
  10. No worries ? I've been checking daily for a week. "Things may change" but for now, we are "stuck" with the cabins we have. First world problems, eh?
  11. Both cabins were moved, from deck 8 (one balcony, one promenade view) to deck 9 (one balcony, one ocean view). But how did you do a mock booking? It's not open to book. This is 8/15/2021 on Independence out of Galveston.
  12. So our TA told us that basically there is no way to change rooms now. Mixed in with this whole thing is that one of the rooms we had originally was a promenade view - apparently they aren’t having ANY interior rooms, including PV. So that one got reassigned to an Ocean View and it’s about the worst available (deck 9, all the way forward, port side corner). I had asked to see about changing to another room (even to pay for an upgrade to a balcony). Nope. So there’s probably zero chance of us winding up in a 3-person room with just my family. Ugh.
  13. I'm on hold with RC now. The situation is this: 3 cabins booked My husband & daughter (age 13) in one cabin Other dad and his son (age 10) in one cabin Me and other dad's daughter (age 13) in one cabin We will get our daughter vaccinated. It's the other daughter booked in the room with me (and the 10yo) that are not vaccinated. (while typing this out, they answered) If you're 12+ and not vaccinated, you cannot board. Under 12 will be given a rapid test at the terminal prior to embarkation (at no cost). They did tell me that this is subject to change, and they might update in 30 days -- which is kind of pointless for the 8/15 sailing, but might impact other Indy cruises in like September. The RC person also confirmed about offering OBC for any increase in onboard purchase due to rebooking from Liberty to Indy (or a refund, if all the OBC isn't used). So that's good.
  14. So we will probably just have our daughter (who will be 13) get vaccinated, but the father of my daughter’s friend (who will be cruising as well) asked me “what if she refuses the shots?” Told him I don’t know. This is the page on RC’s website: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/the-healthy-sail-center/getting-ready-to-cruise?dPort=galveston We are on the 8/15 Independence sailing, so basically have a week and a half to get started on the Pfizer regimen, in order to be finished 14 days before sail date. Woulda been nice if RC emailed us about this, rather than me finding out by heading over there on a whim. They’ve been very good at communicating that I “owe money” on drink packages paid and purchased from when we were supposed to originally have been on Liberty ?
  15. Yup, that's the one I meant. And I saw pix of the sloped ceiling. No thanks!
  16. Good to know! I called RC and they can't do anything about it (plus the 8/15 saling doesn't even come up for them) since I went through a TA so I'll just have to wait and see what the TA can suggest. Did you book directly with RC?
  17. Oh and the itinerary changed. Was Cozumel - Grand Cayman - Jamaica. Now Cozumel - Costa Maya - Roatan. I was really looking forward to 7 Mile in Grand Cayman ?
  18. OK so I'm on the 8/15 sailing out of Galveston, which was initially on Liberty, and now switched to Indy. FINALLY got our cabin assignments on Indy today. We had two cabins, and one change I'm 100% fine with (same category, just a couple doors down from the original one), but the other one... not really. It's the one my teen daughter is booked in (and will share with her friend). They were in 8275 - which is a promenade view room halfway between midship and the forward elevators. Got moved into 9415 which is an Ocean View at the very forward port corner of the ship. With the bridge overhanging it. She's not at all happy with this, and I don't blame her. The room is kinda weird shaped, and has far less counter/desk space compared to the interior promenade view (not to mention the nifty little sitting area in the window of the promenade view rooms which has no equivalent in this new room). I have asked my TA if they can be switched back to the interior PV room. What are the odds of that happening? I mean, I get that it's an upgrade in category, but it's as far from the kids activities as possible (they will have to walk the entire length of the ship each time), and it's not the view they wanted, so it's not really an "improvement" to them.
  19. Still waiting for our switch for the 8/15 sailing. I'm getting antsy, lol!
  20. Same. Our Liberty cruise was available as of about 8 hours ago. Now it shows cancelled.
  21. My husband just asked if I knew whether these summertime cruises are supposed to be going at restricted capacity (we are on Indy 8/15 out of Galveston). Anyone heard?
  22. Ah I see that it seems to have been amplified? My kid will be happy to see the trampoline and laser tag additions then (I think that's like what was added to Navigator?). Cool, sounds like a step up ?
  23. Ah... well that would be ours, then (8/15). I haven't looked at Independence at all. Guess I oughta check the ship out to see how it compares to Liberty.
