Meghan
I was just curious as neither my husband or i have been to the Bahamas, is the fish fry easy to walk to from the royal Caribbean port? Is it generally safe if its say, around lunch time? Or would it be better to take a taxi? I've heard a general range of the locals either being respectful, just trying to make a living if they're offering hair braiding and such, or they can be quite pushy. I'm thinking it's probably gonna be a bit like walking through new york for the first time, it'll be a mixed bag. Also, is the straw market still open air or is it where it is located on google maps. Trip advisor is giving me all sorts of answers and it's confusing..

The straw market was open at the end of March when I was there. If you turn right after you exit the port you can't miss it. Welcome to the boards! Aron_Ross
Anyone have a recommendation for a best place for seafood at the fish fry?
