  1. From my weekly call this evening with the post-cruise team... and using my mid NOV sailing with a final payment of AUG 30 as an example... If the global suspension is extended or even after my final payment date of AUG 30, as long as the booking is fully paid for by a FCC, and is changed from a 'active' state to a ' cancelled state' regardless of whether its under the cruise with confidence policy, changing of ship and sail date prior to final payment, OR extension of the global pause... as long as the entire booking is covered by a FCC, it can simply be un-applied at any time. So one doesn
  2. Love RCL. great product for families just like CCL or Disney. Very curious from the more mature cruisers here... how would anyone with families and kids 15 and under feel about sailing a 7 night Cozumel or Cabo or Caribbean with Princess or Holland America? Any thoughts? I was on an RCL cruise last fall and saw a ship load of Princess passengers tendering into Cabo. Very mature demographic and no families compared to our tender. Had several colleagues and friends recommend strongly against doing such itineraries with HAL or Princess especially with kids or teens
  3. I'd be more leaning towards a November start date in all likelihood as we all know Sept 15 is a moving target. October might be hit and miss depending how things go. Both NCL and CCL while set for Oct 1 are non committed either. And with cases spiking in southern florida I'd be surprised if anything resumed promptly on Sept 15. Even if HYPOTHETICALLY they resumed Sept 15 it obviously would be a phased start meaning there'd be more inevitable cancellations down the road by late summer for ships that are not part of this phased start. So there WILL be more cancellations I'm assuming by Aug
  4. Just a heads up but on the carnival site. Nothing is bookable till October. Has anyone tried Royal yet? Only a matter of time
  5. As a rule of thumb regarding NON-REF vs REF bookings, its always best to book a REFUNDABLE deposit as this allows one to change their dates up to final payment date. Even in regular times, a NON-REF deposit would incur a $100 fee to simply shift sail date and ship. Just note that whether its NON-REF or REF - booking is 'locked in' after final payment. This means the LIFT & SHIFT or CRUISE WITH CONFIDENCE apply at that point. Also **very important** - a REFUNDABLE booking can always be downgraded to NON-REFUNDABLE before final payment. However one CANNOT upgrade from NON-REF
  6. After having called RCL daily regarding refund follow up's per my previous posting (again expert with follow ups and work in logistics)... please note that ALL agents are generally cross trained. Originally I had to wait on hold up to 2 hours to speak to Customer Service (Corporate Guest Relations based in Manila). Some key points to note when calling RCL about how your call gets routed: Sales & Reservations -- US based (up to 8 pm PST) 1-866-562-7625 Corporate Guest Relations (Customer Service) - Guatamala - 1-800-205-9812 / 1-800-256-6649 RCL resolutions (escalated calls)
  7. We have reserved the fly-out fly fishing excursion for the July 19th Alaska Southbound Sailing. I was able to reserve and pay for this excursion back in April 2018. Now, when I look at excursions for Juneau this does not appear anymore. Is that because it is sold out? It still appears in My Calendar and haven't received a refund.
  8. I'm first-time sailing on the Liberty of the Seas on May 13. When I try to reserve my dining times through the Cruise Planner, it says we are "not configured for mytime dining." So I don't know what time we are scheduled for, and I can't find it in my reservation. Where would I See that information? or would I have to call RC? Thanks!
  9. Okay so my cruise Oasis of the Seas embarking on April 2nd 2017, is my Fiance and I's honeymoon. I was playing around on the Royal Gifts page and found the Romance Package for champagne, strawberries, chocolates, and flowers; and I also found the Just Married deluxe room decor package. I wanted to order them to be ready on embarkation day but when I enter mine or my fiance's name or our reservation number, it says it can't be found and refers me to call. Has anyone else had this issue? Should I just call to add this to our room? Has anyone had experience with either of these gi
  10. What does RCCL consider to be a big enough Group for a Group booking discount. We have 9 Balcony cabins with 21 Adult Family Guests booked for sailing on Ovation of the Seas 30th December 2016. I have been advised by the Travel Agent that we are not eligible for any discount or benefit? Would this be based on the fare paid?
